Thanks to European Large Families Confederation (ELFAC) and all the organizers of this congress who gave us the opportunity to become part of this network for share professional experiences and create family-friendly areas. We promote the #circulareconomy and #ecosustainability, reducing the impact of #WEEE waste, with the aim of "0 waste". From this philosophy, the WEEKO 2025 Agenda was born, with the aim of satisfying social and environmental needs, in line with the UN Agenda 2030. Our desire to create partnerships with universities and non-profit organizations has led us to achieving an important recognition from "Il Sole 24Ore", which placed us among the 10 best Italian companies operating in the sustainability sector. For us too, it is essential to create a #familyfriendly cultural, social and economic environment and implement concrete actions to encourage young people to enhance the territory, accompanying them in the transition to adult life. The EU has allocated significant resources to support #digitaltransformation. This is an unprecedented opportunity to increase your resilience and pursue a humane and sustainable vision for society throughout the digital decade in order to empower citizens and businesses. Together we work for a better world!

Happy #worldcitiesday to those who celebrate! Great to team up with our colleagues from Centre for Cities for an event on the growing international influence of cities featuring Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr OBE and Anna Lisa Boni as well as our very own Cllr Huw Thomas, leader of Cardiff City Council. A few takeaways from us: 1. Awareness of the power of cities is growing among national decision makers, but there is still some work to do, particularly on climate policy. 2. Nation's pledge but it is cities that often deliver. They are the places with the scale of population, business and expertise to really engage with the big issue. 3. Co-operation is in cities' DNA, it is our default and while we will always fight hard for urban issues, we understand the power of co-design with national Governments. Also, at Core Cities we rightly complain about national centralisation, but in Freetown, Mayor Aki-Sawyer doesn't even have the powers she needs to fix the pavements! 🤯 Watch the whole discussion - https://lnkd.in/enHMDhCG
