🐄 I really LOVE technology But sometimes, we get it wrong In this scenario, cows are kept inside a barn. A mow robot harvests fresh grass and brings it to the cow Love the idea, but this is actual madness. 1. Cows are made to live on pasture 2. Why invest in expensive machinery and buildings if cows will do the mowing for free 3. We miss out on massive regeneration benefits that cows bring to the landscape Let cows be part of the ecosystem please and don't break this natural cycle Replacing parts of a natural cycle is always too expensive and too much work, so just, don't, do it. #regenerative #landscapedesign #landscapearchitecture #agroecology #regenerativefarming #agroforestry #farming #tuin #tuinarchitectuur #permacultuur #permaculture #voedselbos
Waar zijn de mestkevers?
People are losing the plot. The lunatics have taken over the asylum.
This is painful to watch… Cattle do so much more than “mow the grass”. Is that lost amongst technology developers?
Niet te geloven, dacht even dat dit niet waar was...
As a rancher, I won't lie, I'm rolling my eyes HARD on this one.
Just a fancier way to green chop. I get why people roll their eyes but equipment like this are helpful in scenarios where you do not own and cannot fence or control access to fields. Depending on sizing, could be very useful in agrivoltaics for harvesting between the rows when a solar company puts panels on 500 acres and insurance or whomever won’t let them bring in actual livestock but they still want to support farming on the land.
As a newbey to our farming village said if we have to pick up dog poo, why doesn’t the farmer collect cow poo!!! Like the comment, this is so so very wrong.
Surely cheaper to take the cattle to the pasture?
Regenerative Design, Soil Health, Agroforestry
6moIs there another machine to spread the manure back on the pasture? 🤦♂️
