The first $5,000 grants from this fund have been awarded to the Mon Valley Initiative and the Penn State Nittany AI Alliance to assist jobseekers in the Mon Valley and farmers combating deer damage. The diocesan Primate’s World Relief and Development (PWRDF) Working Group launched PWRDF’s new name at St. Stephen’s Church in Ottawa in November. The new name will be Alongside Hope and Auprès de l’espoir in French. It will be effective March 1, 2025 with a gradual transition. During the event, the diocesan working group was also hosting two delegates from TSURO (Towards Sustainable Use of Resources Organization) Trust, which is undertaking numerous innovative agricultural projects in Zimbabwe. PEDMEDE ECO, with a strong commitment to supporting local communities and promoting sustainable development, made a substantial contribution to the Municipality of Trikala. Specifically, it donated 1,500 tons of 3A-type aggregates, which were utilized for the restoration of the municipal road network, addressing both immediate and long-term needs of the area. The total quantity was distributed across three areas: Zilevti: 4 truckloads Megala Kalyvia: 12 truckloads Glinos: 8 truckloads This donation represents a targeted intervention that strengthens the municipality's infrastructure, meeting ongoing needs for the improvement and maintenance of the road network. With this initiative, PEDMEDE ECO reaffirms its commitment to actively supporting local communities, fostering collaboration, and promoting sustainability for a better future.

Our MISSION is to RETURN BUFFALO TO NATIVE AMERICAN LANDS, LIVES AND ECONOMIES. Tanka Fund is a 501(c)(3) that is Native American-led and staffed. Since 2014, we have been working to provide animals, grants and technical assistance to Native American owned/operated or managed Buffalo ranches that are family or community based. Tanka Fund’s rancher partners now represent more than 1,800 head of Buffalo over 100,000 acres of land. Our 5-year goal is to increase that to 500,000 acres and 5,000 Buffalo or more.
