Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming 13 joinery students from Hugh Baird College to our development site in Liverpool. For many of these students, it was their first time on a live construction site, and the experience was truly impactful! During their visit, they explored both first fix and second fix stages of joinery, gaining invaluable insights into the workings of an active site. Our site manager, Ged Anderson, and assistant site manager, Jimmy Hayes, were on hand to answer questions and share their expertise. The feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive: -Tom expressed, "I feel very inspired to get my CSCS card so I can work on site and gain my experience here." - Ryan shared, "It was eye-opening to see joinery in practice on such a large scale, as opposed to our workspaces and seeing it in class." - Alfie noted, "After seeing the sites and speaking with Jimmy, it has cemented my desire to work on site and within construction." - Joe added, "It was great to see both 1st and 2nd fixings of joinery in a house on a construction site, and to hear about the different career paths joinery could take me down." We are thrilled to have inspired the next generation of joiners and look forward to seeing where their journeys take them! #LovellPartnerships #Joinery #Construction #FutureBuilders #HughBairdCollege #Inspiration
