Human bodies are more than fifty percent water. It is the most fundamental resource for the survival of our species. And as the climate changes, we need to become aware of how we use and manage it. Groundwater is being depleted faster than it is being recharged, and surface water management needs to be improved. Nations must work in harmony to share the resources. To achieve this goal, we need to gather data and the NASA GRACE-FO mission is the vanguard. Visualizing the resource will build the awareness necessary to engage in long-term sustainability. https://lnkd.in/g3xU5xRF

The third Copernicus Sentinel-1 satellite was launched on 5 December on a Vega-C rocket from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana: a key step in restoring Europe’s independent access to Space and in monitoring climate change. Sentinel-1 data contributes to numerous Copernicus services and applications, including Arctic sea-ice monitoring, iceberg tracking, routine sea-ice mapping and glacier-velocity measurements. Sentinel-1 data are freely available via the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem. 👉 https://ow.ly/jGif50UnfBF

Lets get curious and all learn how to absorb the insights generated from processing and contextualizing hyperspectral imagery. This will enable us to monitor and manage our impact on the environment and mitigate climate change. World Space Week Association is highlighting this year how Space is for Earth. If you are passionate about humans and this planet, using space to contribute to the collective wellbeing of both is even more exciting than going to Mars.
To empower humanity to preserve our planet, we continue to work on the seamless & continuous environment of Earth and Space. Monitoring increasingly crowded orbits with precise space object tracking ensures the safety of critical space infrastructure that directly serves to mitigate climate change. Apart from monitoring congested orbits in space that host earth observation satellites, we continue our mission to analyse and develop critical information from space-based sensors that directly monitor the Earth’s environment. Through partnerships with HSI image providers we are developing algorithms to address the impacts of climate change. Nadia Rochdi is leading our earth team. All NorthStar's Space and Earth information and intelligence services, process, and fuse sensor data from multiple sources to improve the ability of our customers and partners to contribute to a sustainable environment and climate mitigation. We all have a role to play. #ClimateChange #HyperSpectralimagery #EarthObservation Thank you to World Space Week Association for bringing awareness to this important topic.
