Today many things are moving and changing fast or more faster than before, even in business where experience, stability and well approved processes were key to success. Some may say we are living in a VUCA world – where Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity are our daily companion with increasing level of impact. However, we need to master it. We need to increasingly collaborate to do so. Especially in R&D it is becoming less impactful to solve problems and challenges just by 'myself' or 'yourself'. We have to do it together, to put different kinds of attitudes, levels of knowledge, perspectives and motives into the game in order to handle the volatility, reduce the uncertainty, solve the complexity and clarify the ambiguity. Communication is key, when working together. Trust enables us to rely on our partners. And a healthy level of self-perception and calmness helps to reflect the tasks in a more objective way. We did an exercise with our Research team to create awareness about it and to provide confidence on how we can empower ourselves, when working as one TEAM. 🛰 First, we started with a virtual Reality experience in the outer space, to get aware about the power of communication and how we need to communicate. We could explore on how communication can leverage the success of our tasks, work and activities. It was a really great experience. First time for many of us within the virtual world and with a powerful and insightful impact. 🤸♂️ In sequence of it we did a Mohawk Walk to explore the power of trust. Independent of the level of fitness and ability of control of ourselves we could manage to finish the trail by supporting and guiding each other. It created a very strong string in between all of us, even in between teammates which have met for the first time. 👂 Finally, we did a resiliency exercise to better understand about our own physical and psychological constitution, how to balance our level of stress and how to calm down. But even more, we managed to understand what really matters to us and how we can make it to better control ourselves. Now, we feel prepared to ideate, initiate and develop the next level of innovation for the energy transition.
