It takes a village, or in this case a global community effort, to make significant progress in tackling the evidence synthesis challenges we face today. This week, PICO Portal Founder Eitan Agai joined notable researchers, technologists, and guideline developers from Cochrane, JBI, The Campbell Collaboration, and others in the space at the International Collaboration for the Automation of Systematic Reviews (ICASR) Annual Meeting, to share knowledge on how we can address these challenges - setting the stage for the Global Evidence Summit which has brought together over 150 countries to discuss this important topic. #GES2024 #EvidenceSynthesis #SystematicReview

Haplogroup M Haplogroup M is significant in India for its association with mitochondrial DNA \(mtDNA\). This haplogroup is one of the most widespread and ancient haplogroups found across Asia, including in the Indian subcontinent. It plays a crucial role in tracing maternal lineage and understanding the genetic prehistory of human populations in this region. Haplogroup M is significant in India for its association with which type of genetic lineage? A\) Mitochondrial DNA B\) Y-chromosome DNA C\) Autosomal DNA D\) X-chromosome DNA Youtube video: https://lnkd.in/dy6iWthg \#nikolays_genetics_lessons

LT | Pacientams, sergantiems gerklų vėžiu, pašalinus gerklas prarandama natūralaus balso formavimo galimybė. 💬 Be to, gerklų pakaitalo – elektroninių gerklų, kurias naudoja šie pacientai – skambesys neprimena žmogaus balso, dažnai nėra tinkamai perduodamas bendraujant telefonu. Atsižvelgdami į šią problemą, #KTU ir Lietuvos sveikatos mokslų universitetas (LSMU) mokslininkai kuria specialų lietuvių kalbai pritaikytą alaringinės (begerklinės) kalbos gerinimo modelį, kuris padės pacientams atkurti bendravimo įgūdžius. EN | For laryngeal cancer patients, the removal of the larynx results in the loss of natural voice formation. 💬 In addition, the laryngeal substitute, the electronic larynx used by these patients, does not sound like a human voice and is often not properly transmitted over the phone. To address this problem, researchers at #KTU and Lithuanian University of Health Sciences are working on a special Lithuanian language-specific model to improve allaryngeal speech, which will help the patients restore their communication skills.
