Stop the madness! The Gazans are physically weak by now and have realistically nowhere to evacuate to. To prevent further suffering, Israel could just open its borders and let the forcibly displaced Gazan civilians evacuate to Israel. It could this way "easily" follow the gist of the UNSC and the ICJ resolutions by creating a proper humanitarian solution which nevertheless includes achieving its military goal of fully dismantling Hamas. This instead of in the end possibly evacuating people to Egypt, adding them to the millions of displaced Palestinians and their descendants outside of Palestine. Practically, it means setting-up temporary Blue Helmets/UN peace force controlled and UNHCR managed refugee camps in Israel. This way, the IDF could dismantle their "military targets" in Gaza without causing any further" collateral damage". To relocate people elsewhere in Gaza is no option any longer, there is nothing left and it is much more difficult to supply humanitarian aid to an area destroyed by war. Israel is actually a very safe zone with a high likelihood for the Gazans to be able to return home as soon as Gaza becomes inhabitable again (currently it is no longer). In recent weeks, #armed #violence in #Haiti has intensified again in and outside the capital (Port-au-Prince). In the last two weeks, approximately 22,000 people have been displaced in #Arcahaie, an area located northwest of the capital (this is the highest level of violence-related displacement recorded in this municipality); at the same time, 10,000 people have been displaced due to armed violence in several neighborhoods of the capital, particularly Solino. One of Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) tools in the country is the Emergency Tracking Tool, which alerts the humanitarian community on massive displacement induced by specific events, in order to rapidly inform life-saving assistance to those affected. https://lnkd.in/dub2qYQ3

Following extensive Israeli airstrikes on multiple areas in Lebanon on Monday, 23 September, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is intensifying its efforts to meet the growing humanitarian needs. MSF teams are providing general healthcare and essential relief supplies to those displaced by the conflict. According to Ministry of Public Health - Lebanon, 558 people have been killed and 1,835 injured, with thousands more forced to flee their homes in search of safety. 🛑🚿 Sterilizations Begin in Old Omdurman: Ensuring Safety After Prolonged Conflict 🛑💧 Authorities in #OldOmdurman have announced the beginning of #sterilization operations in the area following prolonged and intense battles. These conflicts have resulted in numerous hazards, most notably the presence of decomposed bodies of soldiers and civilians that have been left for over a year amidst the ongoing war. These decomposed bodies are a major source of health issues, including the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases. Their presence also hampers efforts to restore normal life for residents returning to their neighborhoods in Abrov, Lieutenant, Pant, and Abbasia. Therefore, comprehensive sterilization and cleaning of all buildings, streets, and facilities are crucial steps to ensure a healthy and safe environment. The #RedCrescent has reaffirmed its commitment to providing everything necessary to ensure the safe and secure return of the population. The sterilization operations include the removal of decomposed bodies and thorough cleaning and disinfection of the affected areas to eliminate any health or security threats. #Authorities emphasized that the success of these efforts heavily depends on #community cooperation during this transitional period. It is an occupying nuclear power claiming that small resistance groups are threatening its existence. The truth is, Israel uses internationally prohibited weapons to commit genocide and ecocide in the region and reign with terror. It’s tactics should belong to long gone history of violence. Israel and its cronies are a threat to international peace as they emptied international institutions and international law from their meaning.
