🚀 Hello! I am grateful to share that two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to participate in the 38th International #ElectricPropulsion Conference #IEPC2024 held in the beautiful city of #Toulouse. I presented the latest updates on our experimental work with #transientplumes, proposing a new technique for easy access the time-varying 2D characterization of a plume cross-section. This work is applicable to pulsed electric thrusters such as #pulsedplasmathruster #PPT or #vacuumarcthruster #VAT, #CAT. In addition, I had the pleasure of chairing a session for the first time. 🔬The time-resolved expansion of the exhaust is experimentally characterized by means of a novel diagnostic system consisting of a grid of #Langmuir probes working in the ion saturation regime. The 2D ion current distribution is reconstructed from the probe data using a variable separation algorithm. Beyond their relevance on the characterization of the time-dependent #plumedivergence angle, the thruster performance and their interest for spacecraft/plume interaction analyses, these results constitute an additional step towards a clearer understanding of the discharge physics in transient electric thrusters. 🔗 For those interested, more details can be found in the proceedings: https://lnkd.in/dBYZDdyf. Soon, a consolidated version of this work will be journal published. 🌐 This one has been my second #IEPC. The IEPC conference is a priceless opportunity to get updated on the latest cutting-edge research activities in our field worldwide. Enriching personally and professionally, this ambiance also favors in-person discussions, offering opportunities for faster or more relaxed exchanges of ideas, as well as for potential collaborations. I will do my best to continue producing research results that contribute to advancing our field. ✨ I truly want to thank the organizers of this edition, Stéphane MAZOUFFRE, Laurent Garrigues, Ulysse Weller, and Anaïs Douziech, as well as the entire PhD candidate team working with them. As always, I am also grateful to my advisors Mario Merino Martínez and Jaume Navarro Cavallé, and to our head, Eduardo Ahedo, for allowing me to be part of a great team as Equipo de Propulsión Espacial y Plasmas is. Indeed, our group has presented at the Conference about 20 research works, covering both numerical and experimental studies, across a wide range of #EP thrusters. Proud of working with all of you, guys. Finally, also thank you to our managers, Olympia Driva and Lidia Torre Albarsanz. 🔊 By the way, our group #EP2 has presented the candidature of Madrid for #IEPC2029! Let me be a bit irrational and ask for fingers crossed :). In the meantime, let's focus on our work and look forward to enjoying the upcoming conferences in London (#IEPC2025) and Los Angeles (#IEPC2027)! GRAVITY DEFIED: SCIENTIST CLAIMS BREAKTHROUGH IN ELECTROMAGNETIC LEVITATION In a potentially groundbreaking announcement, plasma physicist Dr. John Brandenburg reports successful laboratory demonstrations of gravity modification using electromagnetic fields. This remarkable claim could revolutionize our understanding of physics and open up unprecedented possibilities for space travel and technology. Brandenburg's experiments, based on his GEM (Gravity-Electro-Magnetism) Unified Field Theory, range from simple demonstrations with helium balloons to more complex setups using 3-phase power. The most striking result reportedly showed a 150 mg weight loss in a coil suspended from a sensitive load cell. The significance of this announcement cannot be overstated. If Brandenburg's findings are confirmed, they would represent the first laboratory demonstration of controlled gravity modification. Such a capability could lead to revolutionary propulsion systems, making interplanetary travel more feasible, and potentially transforming industries on Earth. Brandenburg's work offers a tantalizing glimpse into a future where the fundamental forces of nature might be manipulated, potentially ushering in a new era of scientific and technological advancement. I am extremely concered, given various details concerning the recent 'The Debrief' article related to Exodus Propulsion Technologies, such as their switch to a plate-based asymmetrical capacitor setup, the fact that they are using electrostatics and apparently discovered it accidentally, as well as the apparent exponential increase in thrust they've experience, makes me truly sad that the EVO test of the Quantum Drive using 'Quantised Inertia' (a fascinating theory by Dr Mike McCulloch) failed due to an apparent electrical failure. https://lnkd.in/eECsiBuH Everything they are reporting sounds EXTREMELY close to what Mike McCulloch has very vocally predicted to be the observed effect of his theory, and the setup described here closely mimics other research I've read regarding anomalous thrust in asymmetric capacitors. There is a team in Sao Paolo that has been working on this for over a decade as well, as well as other isolated researchers that have published papers and cited their work or the work they cite. It was through this Sao Paolo group that I discovered Mike Mculloch to begin with, which leads me to believe they may be researching the same thing from different angles. It is further very interesting that the members of Exodus Technologies credited with the 'discovery' are, most of them, members of major, wealthy or influential organizations within the aerospace industry, like Blue Origin, ExxonMobil, the Air Force, NASA, and other wealthy businessmen and legal minds. How 'fortunate' that this technology (if their device is genuine) will be in the hands of such illustrious individuals that are fully focused on the safety and prosperity of Earth's citizenry. So 'lucky' that EXXONMOBIL could be poised for some sort of affiliation with the inventors of the technology that might replace them. What is happening... This is NOT good. I didn't pay too much attention when the EVO flight failed, because I was pretty sure something would go wrong (to keep my expectations low), but this is REALLY bad, in my opinion. I'm just pointing out, the corporate interest here is kinda scary to me, based on my lived experience. Here is an interview discussing the 'discovery' https://lnkd.in/eiXKa5n9 After some consideration, I would like to dial back my critical tone here a bit, at least toward the lead, the guest in the Tim Ventura interview I linked. He seems to be calling for mass scientific study of the effect rather than keeping it to himself, but only time can tell whether his company will follow suit.

Russian scientists have proposed using laser beams as rocket propulsion Russian physicists, Yuri Rezunkov from the Institute for the Development of Optoelectronic Instruments and Alexander Shmidt from the Ioffe Institute of Physics and Technology, have proposed an innovative way to achieve supersonic speeds for rockets and aircraft. Instead of using conventional fuel, scientists propose using lasers. The problem with modern spacecraft is that they are capable of carrying a strictly limited amount of fuel, and this greatly limits the ability of such devices to develop maximum speed, since their speed directly depends on their mass. The method proposed by Russian scientists can solve this problem. According to this method, the thrust or driving force of the aircraft will be generated using laser radiation generated by a laser installation, which can be located even at a distance from the spacecraft. The method is called laser ablation and allows you to heat and burn a material using radiation, resulting in the creation of thrust, which, in turn, is directed in the opposite direction of the laser beams. Yuri Rezunkov and Alexander Shmidt published their ideas in an article in the scientific journal Applied Optics, in which they tried to describe the possibility of using the laser ablation method with the already familiar devices of spacecraft thrust nozzles. According to scientists, the use of this combination of technologies can not only reduce the total mass of fuel required for flight, but also increase the speed of gas release from the nozzles to supersonic. Potential areas of application of this method, according to experts, may include propulsion systems on small satellites located in low-Earth orbit, as well as propulsion systems on supersonic aircraft. There are, of course, dubious aspects to this method of creating traction. The laser in this case must be incredibly powerful. So powerful that it will be able to evaporate metal at a distance of several hundred kilometers. In other words, the same laser will not only be able to launch, but also shoot down satellites or cause significant damage to any spacecraft that will be in orbit within the range of this laser. One particular novel prediction in our recently previous published work titled "Superluminal Graviton Condensate Vacuum" (SGCV) quantum gravity theory is the prediction for the existence of possibly "superluminal propagating dark photons" as being the ghost particles of superluminal displaced vacuum dark sector gravitons. That can be tested in LHC Atlas Experiment (hardware and s/w of Atlas need modification) more probable during Higgs Boson to two γ-photons decay events through Time-of-Flight (ToF) measurements for superluminal propagation speed detection or also possible using lower energy collisions in the new established CERN SHiP (i.e. Search for Hidden Particles) detector project. The authors herein try to give an in depth phenomenological and basic technical description of this experiment proposal and explain why it is important since it would indicate a unique link of the Higgs field and normal photons quantum field with the dark sector and suggest that the dark sector is fundamentally and intrinsically superluminal vibration energy as our theory predicts for the vacuum and fabric of spacetime.
