Saa nähdä, mitä täältä IED-prosesista tulee: "The revised Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) regulates emissions from industrial installations and includes new tasks for the European Chemicals Agency. Using the information from its databases, ECHA provides lists of hazardous substances that are potentially used in the relevant industry sectors, extracts substance-related information, characterises uses of those substances by sector and provides expert support on chemicals management. ECHA will join the exchange of information to draw up, review and update Best Available Techniques (BAT) reference documents, BREFs. This is known as the Sevilla process and is used for setting permit conditions for industry. ECHA’s formal participation in the Sevilla process is a result of several years of collaboration with the Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC)’s European Bureau for Research on Industrial Transformation and Emissions (EU-BRITE) and the Commission’s Directorate General for Environment. The information and advice provided by the Agency has been used for the BREF revision processes and has the potential to improve synergies between the IED and the REACH regulation." #kriittisetmateriaalit #IndustrialEmissionsDirective #IED #ECHA #BAT #BREF https://lnkd.in/ejXrx3Ja

In Flanders, Belgium, industrial companies face the challenge of bringing each PFAS in their wastewater below the 20 ng/l limit. What are the best available technologies for achieving this? A helpful new study conducted for the Flemish Region in Belgium seeks to answer this question. Different problems require different solutions, so the study looks at several technologies and weighs up the pros and cons of each. Our water treatment expert Stefan Tassens is hosting lunch seminars titled “PFAS treatment options in Flanders” to explore these in detail, review what the report says about them, and answer any questions you have. Are you interested in attending one of these seminars? Please sign up for the time and place that works best for you: https://lnkd.in/eJpCmY-i Locations: • Antwerp: 26 March, 12:00 – 13:00 CET • Kortrijk: 4 April, 12:00 – 13:00 CET • Ghent: 9 April, 12:00 – 13:00 CET Each seminar is followed by a catered lunch for all attendees. 🔔 #news Publication of Law no. 2024-364 of April 22, 2024 containing various provisions for adapting to European Union law in the fields of economics, finance, #ecological #transition, criminal law, social law and agriculture. 🥁 The text aligns French law with several provisions of the #GreenPact for Europe. 🔋 Regarding #batteries, it ensures the effectiveness of the #dutyofcare for certain economic operators through #controls on batteries placed on the market or in service. ♻ #Distributors are required to take back used batteries free of charge, with no obligation to buy new ones, whatever their chemical composition, brand, or origin. 🔎 The text includes provisions on the cross-border #carbon adjustment mechanism, imposing new #penalties on #importers. 🚢 It also addresses the greenhouse gas (#GHG) #emissions trading scheme, particularly in the #aviation and #shipping sectors. 💧The definition of #renewable hydrogen and #low-carbon #hydrogen is transposed into French law. 🛫 New provisions have been introduced for #airport #concession contracts. 💥 An article adjusts the national timetable for banning #microplastics in line with the new European timetable adopted in 2023. 💡 Furthermore, the law removes the systematic ban on importing sewage sludge into France, following a decision by the Paris Administrative Court of Appeal in June 2023. This sludge is mainly destined for land application and methanization.
