The discount is available at participating locations across the country, and there is a limit of two hot dogs per order. There are certain times this is available today. Check their schedule. Hot dogs: love them or leave them? Mustard? Ketchup? Relish? Chili? How do you love them? #FunFoodFactFriday On June 14, 1892, Nathan Handwerker was born. He was the founder of a small hot dog stand that became Nathan’s Famous. Handwerker immigrated to the United States from Poland with his family in 1912. One of his first jobs was slicing bread rolls for a restaurant in Coney Island. The restaurant, Feltman’s, served hot dogs for 10 cents each. Legend has it that two of the singing waiters at Feltman’s, Eddie Cantor and Jimmy Durante, talked Handwerker into opening a competing hot dog stand at 5 cents a frank. In 1916, Handwerker started a small stand with $300 in savings. His wife, Ida, created the hot dog recipe using her grandmother’s secret spice recipe. People initially were skeptical of the cheaper hot dogs, but Handwerker had an idea to fix that. He invited workers from the nearby Coney Island Hospital to eat for free as long as they wore their hospital uniforms to do so. The ploy worked. People perceived the new food as “healthy” when they saw healthcare workers eating them, and the business took off. The original Nathan’s Famous still stands at the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues in Coney Island and is open 365 days per year. The company now grosses over $100 million annually. Other Fun Facts: *** Handwerker termed his all-beef dogs “Kosher style” because they weren’t made from pork or other meats. However, the meat wasn’t technically rabbi-supervised Kosher. *** One of Nathan’s biggest promotions is their 4th of July hot dog eating contest, which began in 1972. It happens every year at the original Nathan’s Famous in Coney Island, and is even televised by ESPN. *** In 2017, Nathan’s Famous officially became the hot dog brand of Major League Baseball – the first time the MLB had named an official hot dog sponsor. #foodmanufacturing #cpgindustry #forhireresults #nowyouknow

We Didn't Know Any Better. That's How We Became Better. When RED RHINO CRAFT BREWERY AND INSPIRED KITCHEN started, we didn't know all the rules of brewing. We didn't know what couldn't be done. And thank goodness for that. Our naivety became our superpower. While others played it safe, we took leaps. While they followed formulas, we followed our hearts. Sure, we crashed and burned more times than we can count; failed recipes, marketing mishaps, packaging disasters. But with each stumble, we learned. With each that'll never work, we found a way to make it work. We're not here because we are the experts. We're here because we love beer too much to quit. Because we were stubborn enough to keep trying. Because we were naive enough to believe we can continue to build something special. Today, our dream is made possible by every single failure that got us here. And we wouldn't have it any other way. Craft beer for the dreamers, the try-ers, and everyone crazy enough to believe in better.

Things I love: 1. Cooking food, trying new food, talking about food 🥘 2. Plain 3. Food and Plain?! Great post about how we improve our own product by being the first users of every feature we ship (and there's been a lot of new features lately 😉 ).
Everyone on the Plain team loves food. Human food takes priority, but we do love to eat our own dog food from time to time. Check out our latest blog post to learn how we approach dogfooding at Plain, and how it's impacted our team and our product ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/eahMSF6F

A recent study by McKinsey found that the average life-span of companies listed in Standard & Poor's 500 was 61 years in 1958. Today, it is less than 18 years, with nearly 50% failing in the first 5 years…jumping to 80% before year 20. Today Property Masters Inc celebrated our 20th year in business (6/14/2004) with a little party @ our HQ!!! 🥳 The rest of the team was there in spirit! There have been many highs and lows, but over the years we have learned how to turn our disappointments into opportunities to improve, and those improvements into wins for our trusted partners & clients. With each year we’ve gotten stronger, smarter, and more determined to surpass the higher goals we set for ourselves. It hasn’t ever been easy, but nothing worth having ever is. 😉 I’m so proud of my amazing team of colleagues and what we’ve built together. Whether you’re at year 1 or been along on the ride for all 20, this celebration belongs to you! To our amazing clients & trusted partners and vendors…THANK YOU doesn’t seem like enough!! We owe this all to you & couldn’t have gotten this far without your support! You all are the real MVPs!!! 🏆 Anyone can swing a hammer, but they won’t succeed at scale and longterm without being made up of a group of people that put the value in the team over the individual. Our culture is second to none, and for that reason… and about a dozen or so others… I have no doubt that we will be celebrating these milestones for years to come! Cheers to 20 years guys! 💚💚💚 #propertymasters #greendiamondservice #construction #sfrturns #shinebrightlikeadiamond #sfrrenovations #reorenovations 💎
Excited to celebrate our 20 year anniversary tomorrow! Our amazing team at headquarters took some time this afternoon to come together and reflect on our incredible journey. Shoutout to Uptown Food Truck for gracing us with their delicious treats and adding an extra flavor to our celebration! Here’s to 20 years of hard work, dedication, and success! 🥳💚 #GreenDiamondService #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork #20YearsStrong

If you think your venue is obviously dog-friendly, think again. I know a pub called the Dog and Duck that doesn't allow dogs. And believe me, no dog parent likes going somewhere assuming it’s dog-friendly. It’s like going to a steakhouse and assuming they have vegetarian options. The issue also extends to staff. Sometimes, they don’t know whether dogs are allowed. Remember when that popular pizza chain didn't allow a service dog? Or, you might have a bar area where dogs are welcome, but you don’t want to promote it because people might assume dogs are allowed throughout the entire venue. I spend so much time searching websites to see if they mention being dog-friendly or calling the venue... How old school! Who calls these days? And if I had left it to my non-dog-owning friends, I wouldn’t have taken Lola anywhere! So, make it clear that you’re dog-friendly. I may have a tip for you — join WagIt. We make it easy for you and your dog-owning customers. PS - I just googled to see if BrewDog in New York was dog-friendly since not many places are, and was pleasantly surprised. They’re sticking to their promise! #hospitality #restaurant #dogfriendly
