Whenever I mentioned my move back to India, many—including friends from London and other European countries like Romania and Albania—asked me a simple, yet powerful question: *"Are you moving back for good?"* This phrase carried so much more than words. It was an expression of hope, encouragement, and genuine happiness for someone taking the next step in life. It wasn’t just about physically moving; it was about moving towards something better, something brighter. Their warmth and positive energy made me reflect on the importance of celebrating new beginnings, whether it’s moving to a new place or starting a new chapter in life. It made me think: shouldn't we, in India, also adopt this beautiful gesture? Whether it’s an employee transitioning to a new role, someone moving from a small town to a city for opportunities, or even returning home to contribute to their community’s growth—let’s offer our support and encouragement. I won Miss India Earth 2024. 🏆✨ Last week was crazy. I was on 4 different stages. Walked the ramp for Trends. Shared my story to motivate youngsters. Donned the creations of renowned designers.  Awarded "Miss Unique Personality" at Global Maharashtra event. 𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩? Being crowned Miss India Earth 2024! ✨ Winning wasn’t the only honor. It was also standing alongside other incredible ladies. Doctors, engineers, models, dancers, yoga instructors... All were from diverse backgrounds. But each one of them had a powerful purpose. An 𝘶𝘯𝘸𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 ambition. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁. It’s not just about looking beautiful. 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗜 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗗 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗡 𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗡? It’s a question I kept asking myself, and maybe you’ve wondered too. My engagement was slowing down, my community felt distant, and I started doubting if all the effort was worth it. But then I realized something important—sometimes you need to pause to truly grow. Sometimes, stepping back is what helps you see things more clearly. Have you ever felt like even the things you’re most passionate about start feeling overwhelming or repetitive? I decided to take that step back. During this time, I had the honor of being selected as a Youth Ambassador in Yuva Sangam Phase-V under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative. This took me on an unforgettable journey across Karnataka, visiting places like Hampi Temple, Murudeshwar Temple and Beach, and even the Tata Motors Limited plant. But it wasn’t just about the destinations. It was about disconnecting from the routine—camping under open skies, breathing in the fresh mountain air, exploring temples, and immersing myself in the vibrant culture of Karnataka. It was time to reset, reflect, and reconnect with myself. This experience reminded me that balance matters. Yes, consistency is important, but so is rest. You can’t pour from an empty cup. Stepping away doesn’t mean you’re giving up—it means you’re recharging to come back stronger. So, if you’re feeling stuck or stretched thin, give yourself the space to breathe. Notes from 1.5 Months in India Day 1: Arriving in India, the land of vibrant colors and bustling streets. Excitement mixed with a tinge of nervousness as I embarked on this journey far from the familiar comforts of home. Week 1: Reconnecting with family and soaking in their warmth and love. Despite the cultural differences, their embrace felt like a familiar hug, grounding me in this new environment. Week 2: Immersed in the daily rhythm of life in India, I began to notice the contrasts between my Swedish upbringing and the societal norms here. Individualism versus collectivism became a recurring theme in my observations. Week 3: Surrounded by mentors who offered guidance and wisdom, I found moments of clarity amidst the chaos. Their insights into life's complexities challenged my perspectives and enriched my understanding of human connections. Week 4: As I navigated through the maze of routines and societal expectations, I couldn't shake off the feeling of superficiality in some interactions. The disparity between genuine connections and surface-level engagements became starkly evident. Week 5: Exploring the culinary delights of India, I encountered both exquisite flavors and disappointing experiences. The lack of care and authenticity in some food establishments mirrored broader issues of quality and integrity in daily life. Week 6: Reflecting on my journey, I realized the importance of authenticity and mindfulness in navigating life's complexities. Despite the challenges and cultural differences, my journey in India has been a lesson in embracing the beauty of genuine connections and seeking fulfillment beyond superficial norms. Closing Thoughts: As I prepare to bid farewell to India, I carry with me a deeper appreciation for the richness of human experiences and the universal longing for authenticity and meaning in life. My journey notes serve as reminders of the lessons learned and the insights gained along the way.
