On this point, you need to aim for 3 out of 3 on LinkedIn. I'm currently at 1 out of 3 ... I’m working on it though – and here’s how. When we post on LinkedIn there are 3 business aims we are trying to work through. 1. Getting attention (Top of the Funnel) 2. Developing interest & trust and creating desire (Middle of the Funnel) 3. Getting people to take action (Bottom of the Funnel) I’m very good at phase 2. I like to help so I post: ✔ advice on how to use LinkedIn more effectively ✔ ideas on ways to solve business requirements with LinkedIn ✔ new features on the site that could be of benefit ✔ tips, suggestions and videos on getting more from it Great – but I’m not attracting new people to help or spreading my own personal branding widely enough. Not enough 'Top of the Funnel' to attract people to what I do. I need to spread the word further, maybe use 'mentions', tags or Groups, as well as comment on posts to bring new people into the conversations. In terms of posting, think about topics such as: 👉 You at a Trade Show or a networking event (photos are good!) 👉 Introducing yourself or 5 things people won't know about you 👉 A book or film that inspired you 👉 Your thoughts on an Industry story These all give greater insight about you and create curiosity - I need to give a little more in that respect. Now what about the Convert part and the 'Bottom of the Funnel'. I need more people to act on what they're reading and buy from me ... essentially pay for me to train them or their team. So, I need to: 💥 show the results people achieve with my training 💥 ask for and post recommendations 💥 show why I am different to other trainers 💥 outline different ways people can work with me (Team training / 1-2-1) I need to be better at getting encouraging them to take action – maybe you’re the same? Remember: 🔑 when you post, remember what you are trying to achieve and try to create posts that cover each of the different areas Though not all at the same time! Which type do you think is missing from your posting? Let me know 👇 PS. Do you find some more difficult than others? --- When not trying to get 3 out of 3, I ... 💥 I run bespoke LinkedIn team training face to face and remotely designed to get your team using LinkedIn effectively 💥 I can also work with you 1-2-1 to help you get the best from your Profile and LinkedIn in general - Power Hour details -> https://lnkd.in/e52uUJCf 🔔 Ring my bell at Mark White to not miss a post 💭 DM me if you've a question or want to share ideas [Click ‘More’ on my Profile then ‘Message’]

As someone who spends a lot of time on the platform, these updates are making it even better for connecting and growing professionally. Here are 7 features I've been using that are seriously upping my game: 1. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Forget endless company updates! Companies can now create dedicated newsletters. I subscribed to a few in my industry – fantastic way to stay updated on their latest projects and insights, with no information overload! 2. 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: Love webinars but hate staring at a screen? Live audio events are here! Perfect for participating in discussions and learning from leaders without video pressure. I joined a live marketing chat - felt like a virtual roundtable, super engaging! 3. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Feeling overwhelmed by your feed? You're not alone! New content filters let you personalize your feed based on topics, industries, or even creators you follow. I love this - helps me see content truly relevant to my interests and career goals. 4. 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐝𝐈𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬: Upskilling is key, and LinkedIn's making it easier. They've introduced curated learning paths that bundle related courses on specific topics. A fantastic way to gain in-depth knowledge without getting lost in random courses. 5. 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐱 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: This new feature gives you a personalized score on your social selling effectiveness. It breaks down your activity (lead generation, relationship building) and offers actionable tips. I found this insightful for understanding my strengths and weaknesses on the platform. 6. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: First impressions matter! Now, you can personalize connection requests with a short message or shared connection. Makes a much better impact than a generic "Hi there." I've seen a significant increase in connection acceptance rates since using this feature. 7. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐬: Groups are a fantastic way to connect with like-minded professionals. Now, they've added new features like polls and document sharing within groups. This fosters a more collaborative environment and deeper engagement. Excited to see how these features spark even more meaningful discussions in my industry groups! These are just a few of the new features I've been exploring on LinkedIn. They've definitely made the platform more engaging and valuable for my professional journey. Let me ask you something: When was the last time you 'really' worked? Not multitasked. Not jumped between tabs. Not “liked” 10 posts just to check it off your to-do list. I’m talking about → deep, → focused, → intentional work. Most people confuse being “busy” with being productive. ↳ You leave 20 shallow comments. ↳ You spend hours scrolling for inspiration. ↳ You “engage” without a clear goal. I used to do the same thing. And guess what? It didn’t work. Here’s exactly How I Apply Deep Work to Focus on LinkedIn: 𝟭️. 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗢𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀: Every session starts with one goal: → Write a post. → Research high-performing profiles. → Craft personalized connection requests. → Make new relationships through messages → Engage on others post or respond back to comments 🔑 Action Step: Pick ONE task from these today and focus on it without distractions. --- 𝟮️. 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀: Switching between tasks kills focus. Instead, I batch similar activities: → Content creation (1 hour): Brainstorm and draft posts. → Engagement (30 minutes): Comment meaningfully on 5-10 relevant posts. → Networking (20 minutes): Send 5 personalized connection requests. 🔑 Action Step: Dedicate blocks of time for LinkedIn tasks and stick to them. --- 𝟯️. 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Deep work can’t happen with constant interruptions. I turn off notifications and close irrelevant tabs. 🔑 Action Step: Use tools like Freedom to block distractions during LinkedIn sessions. --- 𝟰️. 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: I don’t measure success by “how much” I do. I measure by impact: → Did my post spark meaningful engagement? → Did my comments start real conversations? → Did I create content that solves my ICPs goals? 🔑 Action Step: Before every activity on LinkedIn, ask: What result will this action create? --- Since adopting this mindset, I’ve: ↳ Generated 100M+ organic impressions for me and my clients by focusing on impactful content. ↳ Landed high-value clients by crafting intentional, personalized outreach. ↳Trained 3500+ students to scale their Brands on LinkedIn. --- The Truth About LinkedIn Success You don’t need to spend hours “engaging.” You don’t need to do 50 things at once. You need deep, intentional focus on what truly matters: ✅ Creating meaningful content. ✅ Building genuine relationships. ✅ Taking actions aligned with your goals. So, what’s ONE way you’ll switch from busy work to deep work today? Drop it below 💬👇

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step! I finally made it! Congratulations to myself! The 14 Day boot camp on LinkedIn was nothing more than learning, exploring and navigating this professional platform. The hardest part of it was the starting point. Clicking on icons that I am not familiar with. Clicking on terms that I am not familiar with. I am definitely a moulded person with a sharp mind now. The session was so involving, interactive and so helpful. I am so proud to have known Miss Muthoni Njoroge, the brain behind the Linkedin boot camp. You have a big heart, that listens, advises and guides whenever you are needed. I was so green here, but you never gave up on me. You took care of my empty brain but now I am full of wisdom. I know I have a long way to go, but the good thing is that I have just started. May God continue blessing you, and may you never lack wisdom, never ever. My gratitude goes to my young brother, Elvis Warutumo. Your no-nonsense voice pushed me to take personal development skills. Not a minute passes without you mentioning skills. At one point I wondered if skills are a part of your daily menu. But the knowledge I acquired from you is an investment for life. During the meet up session, you shared ideas and tips on how to monetize on websites. The passion you have in your career is so compelling to others. I recommend your skill courses to anyone who is lost in the world of career choice. I had the chance to meet two special guests, Amb. Maryben Omollo and Pauline Kathure Kiraithe. The soft spoken Amb. Maryben Omollo shared lights on Leadership. Who is a leader? A person who takes people to where they want to be. Leadership is practiced in our homes and at the work place. Leadership is influential, and one must understand him or herself. That was my take home from her. Visibility, This was broadly explained by our lovely guest Pauline Kathure Kiraithe . She emphasised on the remaining top of mind. Take up speak up meetings to build your brand. Talk about the things you know without the need to sell. Engage the market in order to understand it. Build your brand independently. No end to this information. This is just a recap. Then finally a big thank you to my able team. Cohort 5 Global LinkedIn Boot Camp members, who kept on motivating myself. Ade Kiseu, Bilha Luseka ,Thitu Kibata ,Rose Lamai Toing'eny, Julia Kasiva Oyiolo , Mary Gachuhi ,Mary Waweru , Dr.Elizabeth Okemwa, Judith Akite, Perpetua Marigi Bulemi Rita Kanana, Teresia M. Gitau, Debora Barasa - CCP(K) , Purity Kinanu, Assoc. CIPD, CPP®️, Caroline Kiprop , Peris Maina CPA(K) , Anthony Wachira. This team is a true family, that any one can wish to belong to. Full of focused and mature people. You showed solidarity for one another. And I shout, congratulations to all of us, we made it guys! My good friends, join the next global LinkedIn boot camp and learn like I did.
