This method is a well-established process but can lead to a decrease in quality called "downcycling". 🔬 Chemical Recycling (LOOPLA® Technology): Our patented LOOPLA® technology is able to efficiently depolymerizes PLA waste into lactic acid. PLA is an excellent biobased resin that captures carbon dioxide during the production of raw feedstock through photosynthesis. And it can also store carbon through the green loop of mechanical and chemical recycling processes. This makes PLA an important material in the context of CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) technology.
