Has #ArabHealth replaced #Medica? I've been asked that again and again recently. Not in my opinion! The high number of exhibitors still speaks in favour of Medica: 5800 vs 3500; however, according to the count, the number of visitors at Medica is less... approx. 80,000 to 100,000. This is also confirmed by this year's exhibitors... there is less going on than before the pandemic. Since the pandemic, ArabHealth has presented itself as a very digital, futuristic and extremely innovative trade fair. In contrast, Medica is old fashioned, also in terms of its media presence. However, for medical technology companies that want to enter the European market, Medica is absolutely the most important. ... also in terms of the quality of the exhibitors. What do you think?

Medica has lost some of the bigger medical device companies, as it simply becomes too expensive to exhibit. Medica should reflect on that. But for medtech SMEs that want to operate in Europe, it is the place to go.

Neither trade fair has fully replaced the other—they complement each other depending on your market focus and business goals. For European market entry, Medica remains unparalleled; for innovation and a forward-thinking global presence, Arab Health has become a key player.

Hi Maria, I visit Medica year after year after year after year... Feels like they try to compensate the lack of visitors and exhibitors (this year I missed EIZO, e.g.) by increasing the fees for parking. I payed € 15,- last year and € 20,- this year. It's an increase of 33%. That's ridicules. Besides for the same parking service I'v been charged € 7,- at Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. Does this mean that € 13,- is for Medica on top of what they earn anyways. Don't get me wrong I'm fine with paying parking fees but this is just ridicules and absolutely arbitrary.

Good insight- In fact, small businesses, start ups and medium size producers have a little spot and chance to enter in EU market for several reasons, which means; less diversity / competition and less attractive for visitors at MEDICA. While Middle East has a lot of spots and opportunities for start ups and medium size producers to enter into their markets So more diversity and innovation...more visitors

Efficiency is becoming more important, and for that reason the AH is much better and will be growing!

And here speaks someone who has no doubt exhibited at both exhibitions countless times!

Medica had its peak 5-10 years ago. It gets smaller and smaller, as the big companies leave or left it. In addition, pricing increases. E.g. public transport is not included anymore. I hope it is better at AH

Interesting

I believe that Arab Health is a superior exhibition in a much more attractive setting and it captures a much broader market. I should try to attend next time around.
