When considering the value of a home, it's not just about the cost per square foot. There's another crucial metric to consider: Enjoyment Per Square Foot (EPSF). EPSF varies from person to person. For me, I intentionally appreciate my home as it significantly enhances my quality of life and there are so many aspects I love about it. While the cost to maintain it is high, it represents the ultimate reward for years of hard work. Often, we forget to measure our enjoyment until we consciously acknowledge it, which requires some reflection. Unlike material possessions like Apple stock, that you can’t live in and enjoy. If your home doesn’t bring you joy, consider moving or hiring an excellent interior designer. Home is the comforting embrace at the end of a tough day, reminding you why you work so hard.
