Trusted marine elevator services around the world.

🚀 **Understanding 2:1 Traction Ratio Elevators** 🚀 A 2:1 traction ratio elevator system means the car moves at half the speed at which the cable is wound or unwound. This setup reduces the motor's load, allowing the use of a smaller motor, but requires more cable and additional pulley travel. ### Key Characteristics: 1. **2:1 Ratio**: For every meter the motor winds or unwinds the cable, the elevator cab moves only 0.5 meters. 2. **Advantages**: - Reduced effort for the motor. - Handles heavier loads without increasing motor power. - More energy-efficient for certain types of vessels. 3. **Disadvantages**: - More cables and pulleys required. - Increased maintenance due to additional components. ### Application: Typically implemented in medium-height vessels and elevators that need to transport heavy loads, such as freight or service elevators. At Zener Marine Elevator Services, our maintenance plans are tailored for every type of elevator.
