This #NationalCancerSurvivorsDay, we highlight solutions that can help prevent this terrible disease. The FDA reports that 0.3% of the 600,000 women undergoing hysterectomies annually in the US have undiagnosed cancer, which can spread during surgery, leading to multiple tumors. Fortunately, the FDA-approved #LapBox creates a secure, enclosed environment for the easy and quick removal of large tissue during laparoscopic surgery. This innovation empowers gynecologists to safely offer a minimally invasive alternative to higher-risk open abdominal surgery.
