As Europe’s leading electric vehicle dismantler, they demonstrated how recycling and reusing EV parts are driving sustainability in the industry. 🚗 Stepping inside a Tesla , marveling at its intuitive and futuristic dashboard that sets the standard for EV interiors and redefines the driving experience. ⚡️ Witnessing the AA’s fully electric fleet vehicle—a bold step toward eco-friendly roadside assistance, reflecting the organization’s commitment to a greener future. 🔋 Discovering advancements in battery technology, with a focus on higher energy density, faster charging, and improved sustainability, ensuring the EV industry continues to innovate for a cleaner planet. "One of the major highlights of Woven City is its fleet of driverless or self-driving cars known as E-palettes. Serving as a testing ground for Toyota Motor Corporation's renewable energy experiments, these futuristic vehicles will navigate dedicated lanes separate from pedestrian and cyclist paths. Toyota intends to leverage data from these cars to understand local traffic patterns better. Championing hydrogen-based technology, the futuristic city near Tokyo aims to minimise emissions, while its smart homes, equipped with specialised sensors, enable seamless communication among residents, buildings, and vehicles." Projects like Woven City - including NEOM, Saudi Arabia; Shanghai, China; and GIFT City, India among others - offer great technical promise societal benefits. By moving the lab into the public space, feedback becomes more 'real' and additional variables are encountered to really vet out systems and tools. Toyota Motor Corporation's ambitious project to create a sustainable utopian city at the base of Japan's iconic Mount Fuji is swiftly becoming a reality as the first of its anticipated 2,000 residents moves in later this year. Since its announcement in 2021, Toyota has been diligently working on Woven City, located just miles away from Mount Fuji on Honshū Island. Woven City will serve as a living laboratory for Toyota's innovations, including renewable energy and self-driving vehicles like the futuristic 'E-palettes.' Equipped with sensors across lights, buildings, and roads, these vehicles will gather valuable data on pedestrian and automotive traffic patterns. But Woven City isn't just about cutting-edge technology, it's also a study in sustainability. With smart homes powered by hydrogen, Toyota aims to minimize emissions and create an eco-friendly environment. The city's infrastructure will also feature a digital operating system, enabling seamless communication among people, buildings, and vehicles. Despite its futuristic vision, Woven City still pays homage to tradition. Many buildings will showcase traditional Japanese architecture, constructed with wood. But other artisanal techniques will incorporate modern twists leveraging robots programmed for heavy labor.
