Marketing these days is 90% product & 10% marketing, and this is a clear example of that! 1. I love how the product proposition is unique. This reinforces the idea that for travelers out there, the wide range of connectivity & routes of AirAsia flights within Asean countries makes it easy to explore everything under the sun! 2. The brand promise that they want to promote all of ASEAN as a destination is also them positioning themselves as the go-to inbound/outbound traveler choice. As compared to MH, they focus on more outbound passes like London Pass; Singapore Pass but it's limited by the number of trips you can take. MH has MHflypass but then again it's pay per use package and it's not unlimited like AirAsia Explorer Pass. (And their target audience is different). 3. I'm also interested to see the impact that it can have own our tourism industry, will it help to bring in more inbound tourists to explore Malaysia? 4. Price point wise, I would say it's pretty decent; RM1,118 to explore 10 countries, that would be RM111.8 per destination (one-way). Technically, you can pay RM106.92/per month. I also love how they package this and offer more attractive deals like 50% off hotels, AirAsia Ride deals, so they can sustain users to use their services. It's easy for travelers as everything traveled related is all in one place. 5. My only reservation is the comfort level of AirAsia flights, it's a cheaper alternative, so I guess it boils down to the target market of this product which would be more on the cost-conscious, backpackers travelers lah. What are your thoughts on this? #tourism #airtravel #productmarketing #brand
