Strength training PART:12. The rollout of glutes, calves, and hamstrings. I spend a lot of time teaching the rollout because it is an essential part of strength training. You will not keep up your strength training routine very long if your muscles are always sore. Rollers are not expensive, and I encourage you to buy your own to do this at home even if you don't go to the gym. Start with a smooth foam roller and work up to this hard rubber waffle roller. #fitafter50 #strengthtrainingover50 #rollout

If you are someone who hates training abs? 🧽 You can try different exercises with/without weight and if you do weight training then your core strengthens too because you engage it in most movements. 🤸🏼♀️ If you go to the gym you can do: • Leg raises (straight or bent leg) •Plank (with a plate on top) for strengthening your core and for a slimmer waist. •Russian twists for your obliques (you can do this weighted if you have access to a gym). •Just do a couple of sets with the max amount of reps possible for each at the end of your workout.💯
