Strength training PART:12. The rollout of glutes, calves, and hamstrings. I spend a lot of time teaching the rollout because it is an essential part of strength training. You will not keep up your strength training routine very long if your muscles are always sore. Rollers are not expensive, and I encourage you to buy your own to do this at home even if you don't go to the gym. Give this plank exercise a try and if you can’t maintain this position with the hip, high off the deck, then place your knees on the ground - this will make it easier. ➡️ Many who are overweight will default to cardio exercise and neglect strength training. Often strength exercises including core work like I’m demonstrating get sidelined as too difficult or dangerous or what young people do.
