🎯 Why Material Mastery Says NO to Black Friday 🎯 As the shopping frenzy approaches, we at Material Mastery choose a different path, focusing on sustainability and mindful consumption. Here's why: 💡 1. Environmental Impact: Black Friday leads to a 25% increase in waste in the U.S. between Black Friday and New Year’s Day. In the UK, it generates 429,000 metric tonnes of greenhouse gases, equivalent to 435 return flights from London to New York. Business Waste 💡 2. Overconsumption: Approximately 80% of Black Friday purchases are discarded after a few uses, contributing to the throwaway culture. Business Waste 💡 3. Consumer Sentiment: A YouGov poll found that 42% of people believe Black Friday purchases are bad for the environment, and 50% acknowledge it contributes to landfill waste. At Material Mastery, we prioritize durability, ethical production, and environmental responsibility over fleeting discounts. Join us in making conscious choices that benefit both people and the planet. 🌍 What are your thoughts on Black Friday? Share below! 👇 #Sustainability #MindfulConsumption #EnvironmentalImpact

Lets delve into Black Friday! 🖤 A recent study highlighted that more than 380,000 tonnes of carbon emissions could result from BF deliveries alone in the UK, raising concerns about its environmental footprint. BF shopping also generates over 1 million tons of plastic packaging waste. It is easy to get excited at the prospect of mass sales, especially in the lead up to Christmas. Everything becomes much more enticing and accessible when the price is dramatically cut. However, did you know that an estimated 80% of BF purchases end up in the landfill? 🤯 This year, take a moment before you press buy and ask yourself this - do I really need this and will I use it or am I just purchasing this as it is on sale? 🤔 We have to be very conscious about our consumption to ensure we are not negatively impacting the planet. This shopping craze has lasting impacts felt much beyond the day itself, is materialistic purchases really worth harming the planet for? Let's make smart consumption choices and only invest in things that have long term use and benefits - lets practice Green Friday 💚 🫶 #BlackFriday #EthicalConsumption #GreenFriday #ClimateAction #GlobalWarming #CarbonEmissions

♻️ Circular Monday Meets Black Friday – Time to Rethink! 💭 At Aveown, we celebrate Circular Monday – a day that reminds us of the importance of purposeful and sustainable consumption. As Black Friday approaches, it’s crucial to reflect on our purchasing habits. These “deals” often end up collecting dust, impacting both our wallets and the planet. 🌍 What can we do instead? ✔️ Buy consciously – ask yourself if you truly need and will use the product. ✔️ Invest in quality and sustainable items. ✔️ Support companies committed to circular and long-term solutions. At Aveown, we assist businesses and consumers in creating a circular economy where products have longer lives and are used sustainably. We believe that every product should contribute to something bigger than itself. This Monday, let’s rethink: Turn Black Friday into an opportunity for a circular future. 🪼 Let’s Make Our Friday Green ... or Blue Again !🌍 Black Friday: the day of deals, discounts, and... doubts? 🤔 What started as an innocent shopping spree has turned into a whirlwind of overconsumption. Flash sales, impulse buys, and endless scrolling—how much of it do we actually need? And at what cost to our planet? Every purchase has a footprint. Behind those irresistible prices are often hidden consequences: 💔 Strain on natural resources 🛠️ Overproduction leading to waste 🚛 Massive shipping emissions But what if we flipped the script? Instead of asking, “What can I buy?”, we asked: ✨ “What can I repair, reuse, or recycle?” 🌱 “How can I shop consciously and support sustainable businesses?” 🤝 “How can I give back instead of giving in?” This Friday, let’s hit pause on impulse shopping and take action for a greener and bluer future. Because the best deal we can make is with our planet. 💚 Thanks a lot Romane Walgenwitz for this beautiful design 💛 #MakeFridayGreenAgain #SustainabilityMatters #ConsciousConsumerism #GreenChoices

🌱 Let's rethink Black Fridays! Black Friday isn't just a shopping frenzy - it's an environmental wake-up call. Each year, this day fuels overproduction, waste, and a massive environmental toll. 🛑 Over 1 million tons of waste are produced during Black Friday week in the U.S alone 🛑 80% of purchases on Black Friday are discarded after only a few uses At Circlestack, we're determined to change this. This year, we want to give a shout out to our partner O My Bag Amsterdam who are promoting a "Better Friday". Instead of contributing to wasteful consumption, they are helping promote second life for preloved and perfectly imperfect products and we are proud to have contributed to this initiative. This Black Friday, let’s reject the frenzy. Choose circularity. Choose the planet. Choose "Better Friday" #CircularEconomy #BetterFriday #SustainableFashion #Resale

Black Friday is known for its amazing deals and the perfect chance to kick off your Christmas shopping. 🛍️ But did you realise that only 29% of electronic waste caused by Black Friday is recycled? Have you ever thought about what happens to most of those products after the holiday season? Many are used just a few times and then discarded—often ending up in landfills. 🌍 The resources needed to manufacture and ship these items are enormous, and return shipping only adds to the environmental impact. This year, let’s think differently: ♻️ Can the product be recycled? 🏪 Can you pick it up in-store to reduce shipping? 🛒 Could you buy second-hand instead? Let’s make this Black Friday a little greener! 🌱 #BlackFriday #SustainableShopping #RecycleResponsibly
