The beginners mindset. 👀 ✨ 👀 ✨ 👀 ✨ 👀 ✨ 👀 ✨ Today’s video of my Nordic Walking journey is about the beginner’s mindset and how we expect to start off bad and learn and improve as we practice. We don’t compare ourselves to others. We don’t judge ourselves against unachievable benchmarks we’ve set for ourselves. But in some areas of our life, we forget we have to start bad and practice and get better. 🗯 🗯 We forget there is a learning curve. 📈 📈 📈 I have fully embraced the beginner’s mindset when it comes to Nordic Walking. I am enjoying stretching myself and seeing what I am capable of and what is possible for me. There are other areas in my life where I am still working on embracing the beginners mindset and I’m judging myself for not being in chapter 20, when I’m still in the index of the book. I am learning. We are here on this planet to learn and grow and experience new and extraordinary things and sometimes it feels scary and that’s OK. 🌍 🌎 🌏 #StateOfMind #BeginnersMindset #LifeCoaching #Wellbeing #Learning

A message to all our members running the Manchester Marathon tomorrow or London next week (or both if you're Becki Wilson 🤯) Here's wishing you the good luck that you don't need. This is what you've trained for. Those winter mornings and dark nights. You've got this, enjoy your moment. A couple of last minute tips from us: 1) Remove any stress from tomorrow morning. If not done already, lay out everything you need. Clothes, rqce number, safety pins, headphones, watch, fuel, drop bag with warm clothes,food for after. 2) Trim those toe nails. 3) Stay hydrated. Drink lots, but through the day, not too much before bed. 4) Eat a good amount of carbs, but don't go mad now. You don't want to be feeling too heavy tomorrow. 5) Take it easy. Low physical and mental stress is the order of the day. You cant add fitness now, ensure you only do anything very easy and short if you feel you need a loosener. 6) Recap on your training, put this in your mental 'cookie jar' to dig into when things get tough. and of course share how you get on, we can't wait to hear your stories, successes and learning!

It’s not who you know… ...It’s how you treat them. I saw Anne-Marie Lategan recently and I must have been really good to her in the past as she gave me a tonne of free training advice. Including, buy trainers with thick soles. Look how thick my new soles are! I put a 1942 Fijian Florin next to them so you can appreciate just how chunky they are. She also elevated my thinking by forcing me to consider challenges in exotic locations (doesn’t Perth to Sydney sound more fun that Lands End to John O'Groats?). On a more useful note, she made planning the secret 2025 endurance challenge much easier. Actually, she’s made the execution of it way, way better for my body. What you can take from this is, people you know have knowledge you need. In the head of one of your friends is the key to the behaviour you're trying to build. How do you get it out? Just ask. And they’ll go out of their way to help. They’ll share their knowledge freely, because that’s what knowledge is for. They may even offer more material support, like equipment or mentoring or turning up and holding your hand. They’ll do it for you, because you’d do it for them. That’s what it means: it’s not who you know, it’s how you treat them. #PositiveHabits #Wellbeing #SelfDevelopment #MorrisMarathon #EverydayExcellence #PersonalGrowth #Mindset
