Imagine a scenario where roads can be resurfaced without causing any traffic disruption. Yes, you heard it right! It's now possible with a new innovative solution - a mobile flyover bridge. This out-of-the-box thinking is the brainchild of the Bundesamt für Strassen ASTRA (ASTRA Bridge A1 direction to Zurich) and is undoubtedly a game-changer in the construction industry. The mobile flyover bridge allows traffic to move smoothly at 60 km/h in two lanes above while the resurfacing work is carried out underneath the bridge. This innovation is not only practical but also cost-effective, as it minimizes the need for road closures and time-consuming detours. This incredible solution was made possible thanks to the inspiration of Dipl.-Ing. Lars Behrendt, who played a significant role in developing the concept. With the use of a mobile flyover bridge, construction workers can safely carry out their work while ensuring smooth traffic flow, making it a win-win situation for both road users and construction workers. This revolutionary approach is undoubtedly a step towards a more efficient and streamlined construction industry.
