Have you ever been the recipient of the act of kindness? Maybe someone brought you a card when you are feeling low, or told you that you were pretty when you were feeling awful about yourself. Words and most acts of kindness do not cost anything but they do make a different. Simple things like: hold the door for someone, sharing your lunch, volunteering time to sit with someone, donating used items, saying please and thank you, be a listening friend, or just simply smiling. One simple jester creates a ripple, that can create big waves. To test this out, try it out once this week, then add more acts of kindness each week. Before long, you will stop keeping track of what you do but reap the rewards of how it makes you feel.

Spook-tacular Fundraising: turning Halloween into hope. 💜🧡 At Dreams Come True, we help seriously ill and disabled children who are also living in some of the most deprived areas of the UK. These children face daily challenges most of us can't imagine—but your Halloween fundraising can make a difference. 💫 How you can turn Halloween into hope for these children: • Trick-or-treat—craft some goodies with your kids and sell them to the homes you go to trick-or-treat. • Neighbourhood costume contest—get all the local families to pay to enter their children into the contest, and the winner gets a prize. • Run a spooky-themed Dream Tea Party—host a catch-up with friends, colleagues or family that includes a sale of cakes and coffees. For children facing severe illness and experiencing poverty, a dream provides a lifeline during incredibly challenging times. Every pound you raise goes directly to delivering these magical moments. Each year, we come together for an event called #Clad_A_Kid, and it’s all about spreading love and joy to those who need it most. Here’s how it works: We reach out to generous hearts like yours to donate items you no longer need. Maybe your kids have outgrown their clothes, toys, or shoes. Maybe you’ve got bedding, books, or even adult clothes that are just sitting unused. These items, which may seem small to us, can mean the world to someone else. In the village, countless children, teens, and even adults are in desperate need of these things. Many of them rarely get the chance to own new clothes or books, and this simple gesture could bring so much happiness to their lives. This is our sixth edition of #Clad_A_Kid, and we’d love for you to join us in making it even bigger and better. 🎄✨ Rethinking Christmas This Year ✨🎄 I’ve always loved Christmas, spoiling my loved ones, hunting for the perfect gifts, and going all out to make it magical. But this year, something has really made me stop and think about what it’s all about. At EMBS Talent, we’re taking part in a gift tag donation scheme, and it’s been such an eye-opener. Some of the tags ask for things like pyjamas, trainers, or colouring books, things I’d usually think of as little extras or stocking fillers. But for some kids, these will be their whole Christmas, and they’ll be absolutely over the moon to get them. It’s really made me appreciate how much the little things can mean to someone else. What feels small to us might mean everything to someone who has so little. This has been such a special reminder for me that Christmas isn’t about extravagant gifts, it’s about thoughtfulness, kindness, and bringing joy where it’s needed most. If you’ve got the chance to get involved in something similar, I can’t recommend it enough.
