Successful partnerships with international entities, including donors, enable RLOs impact. These connections support RLOs’ ability to fundraise, spot opportunities for regional and international advocacy, solicit support from international actors when seeking solutions for intractable local problems, and build rapport and partnerships with like-minded organizations operating around the world. Without these connections, RLOs impact may be more limited. Learn more:🔗 https://bit.ly/3Z2ZP9G #RefugeesLead #RRLI

🌍🔎 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵-𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 On 9th December 2015 the United Nations Security Council approves Resolution 2250, on 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆. It was the first resolution to officially recognize the essential role of young people in promoting peace and security, and it validated youth-led efforts laying the foundation for empowering young peacebuilders worldwide. Today, almost a decade after, our work on this topic brought us to analyze the growing critical need for a more youth-sensitive conflict analysis. 🔎As Celina Del Felice highlighted in her latest insight, traditional conflict analyses often fall short in two key areas: 1️⃣ Recognize how young people are uniquely affected by conflicts 2️⃣ Acknowledge their agency as active contributors to peace processes ⚙️ What can we do? We must adapt our analytical tools to better include #youth and intergenerational dimensions. Such an approach not only maps the distinct challenges young people face but also ensures they are engaged as key #stakeholders in #peacebuilding. ➡️ By embracing youth-sensitive and intersectional conflict analysis, we open doors to designing peacebuilding activities that are not only more inclusive but also more effective in addressing root causes and fostering sustainable solutions. 🔗 To read the full insight, LINK in the comments

FEMA and the DHS Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships are seeking feedback on the draft, “Engaging Faith-Based and Community Organizations: Planning Considerations for Emergency Managers.” You can provide your input here: https://lnkd.in/ezBU67Kd This guide provides a foundation for emergency managers to engage with faith-based and community organizations while building and sustaining mutually beneficial partnerships. Lessons learned from real-world events and updates to FEMA programs since 2018 have resulted in additional considerations and resources for faith-based and community organizations. A major thanks to National VOAD, members of the International Association of Emergency Managers Faith-Based Caucus and a number of state and local emergency managers and non-government leaders that inspired this revision. #faith #partnerships #emergencymanagement #resilience #preparedness

👏 The 2024 Online Anti-slavery Forum has successfully concluded, after bringing together five hundred participants over two days. 🌏 Panellists from eight countries participated, with backgrounds in business, government, human rights advocacy, research, lived-experience leadership, frontline and community services, sustainable procurement, and industrial relations. You can watch the recordings of both days on our YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/gwBVcnbD 💡 Day One Highlights The first panel on Day One provided practical insights into managing modern slavery risks in the construction industry, both on worksites and within supply chains, with panelists from the US, Australia and the UK. A second panel, featuring the Chair of the ACCC, Ms Gina Cass-Gottlieb, considered how to ensure anti-slavery collaborations respect competition law while achieving meaningful impact. Both panels emphasised the importance of effective collaboration in addressing modern slavery risks and tools available for small and medium enterprises and NGOs. 💡 Day Two Highlights On Day Two, the UN Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of slavery shared his key findings and recommendations following his country visit to Australia. Two leading Australian experts offered responses. We were also privileged to hear from global anti-slavery advocates joining from Kenya, Albania and Bangladesh, who shared emerging practices for building an inclusive anti-slavery movement centred on lived experience. A third panel, with experts from Hong Kong, the US and Australia discussed strategies to mitigate modern slavery risks in ICT supply chains, addressing challenges in complex global supply chains and exploring innovative ways to amplify workers’ voices. We would greatly appreciate it if you could take a moment to complete a short post-engagement survey to help us improve our future events: https://lnkd.in/g5dfVsX3
