Advice from HR to HR, There are hundreds of job openings on LinkedIn, yet no one gets hired. Why? Many employers are searching for the perfect candidate. Here’s the truth: the perfect candidate doesn’t exist. Instead, focus on hiring individuals with the right attitude, skills, and willingness to learn. This made me think again! As an experienced HR professional with 7-8 years in the field, I recently had an interview where I confidently answered questions about my knowledge and understanding of HR roles and responsibilities. After what felt like a successful discussion, the interviewer raised concerns about my lack of HR certification or formal HR studies. This abrupt end left me questioning the opportunity missed. While I value the importance of certifications in certain roles, I believe in giving candidates a chance to demonstrate their skills and potential. With the right opportunity, individuals can contribute significantly to an organization. In today's competitive job market, the quest for the "perfect" candidate often overlooks capable individuals who could thrive if given the chance. It's crucial to open doors for talent beyond strict certification requirements to harness the full potential available. Passion or certification? A Note from HR to HR, More than 1000 of positions are there on LinkedIn, but people are not getting hired; The main problem is, that we are all looking for a perfect candidate. Unfortunately, there's no perfect candidate. We should give chances to everyone who likes to get more knowledge from others and eager to learn. Everyone needs training & knowledge transfers to be 'The Perfect' for the job role. If you find someone with the right attitude, skills, Knowledge , then just HIRE without a second thought. Dear good #HR, when you tell an applicant that he/she can't reach your vacancy because they are overqualified this is very confusing; coz, why would your institution prefer an average candidate 🤔, or would they need a freshener to help build a new different chapter of their career? Are you just advising individuals in a way not to push themselves hard as at some point in their lives they would be over-qualified for the work environment and that would signify their inability to make a living and have a decent job??!!!
