This year’s Professionals' Meeting at the E.S.PKU Conference #ESPKU2024 proved to be a success, attracting a wide audience of researchers, healthcare professionals, and advocates. Earlier this year, the Scientific Advisory Committee issued a call for abstracts. On October 25th, selected presenters had the opportunity to share their research during the dedicated session for scientists. 🔬 What made this event stand out? The meeting was a hub of knowledge exchange, featuring cutting-edge insights and discussions on pivotal topics in the field of PKU. It emphasized collaboration and innovation, laying the groundwork for advancements that could transform the lives of those affected by this condition. 💡 These sessions not only highlighted the incredible dedication of researchers but also reinforced the importance of fostering dialogue between professionals and the PKU community.

Now Accepting Poster, Oral, and Panel Presentation Abstracts for the SciTS 2025 Conference! The call for poster, oral, and panel presentation abstracts for the 2025 SciTS Conference is now open! The 2025 SciTS Conference will be hosted by the US Food & Drug Administration White Oak Campus in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA, from July 28 - July 30, 2025. The SciTS Annual Conference is the flagship event of the International Network for the Science of Team Science (INSciTS). It continues to be the premier annual gathering of scholars, practitioners, and providers in the field of Team Science, bringing together a broad range of disciplines to share and advance the latest evidence-based methods in team collaboration and transdisciplinary science. Speakers and attendees will include investigators, administrators, students, funders, and policymakers. Our community includes academia, government, industry, and many other sectors, and spans a multitude of knowledge domain spaces. Anyone interested in improving collaborative research and discovery is welcome! The abstract categories for this year have changed, and are as follows: 1. Education and Training of Teams 2. Team Incubation and Acceleration 3. Scientometrics, Data Analysis, and Indicators 4. Team Science in Academia 5. Professional Development and Developing the Integration Specialist Profession 6. More than 100 German universities and research institutions have entered into a national agreement with MDPI. The publication agreement negotiated by ZB MED - Informationszentrum Lebenswissenschaften comes into effect on 1 January 2025 and is valid until the end of 2026. This new cooperation aims to make scientific gold open access publishing more affordable and less administratively burdensome for researchers in Germany. ✨ Brand new EASSH Position Paper 🗞️ on #SSH integration analysis: A research-on-research approach to EU framework programmes. EASSH presents 5 recommendations for policymakers. ❗ Monitoring integration is an important obligation for the framework programme to deliver truly interdisciplinary research programmes. In this paper, EASSH presents an analysis of SSH integration in #health, a key area where SSH and bioscience work closely together. The analysis uses quantitative and qualitative data already publicly available on European websites and focuses on the health challenge in Horizon 2020 (H2020) and the health cluster in Horizon Europe (HEu). While our results show that the overall integration is very low and has not improved between H2020 and HEu, our study reveals that we have options for better analysis and pathways to improve the design of the next framework programme (#FP10). 📄Read the full paper: https://lnkd.in/evCdA9VV 🙏 Please help us spread the word!
