Digital Health Festival is amongst the leading Digital Health symposiums in the Country. Australia's world class health system is being transformed by the digitisation and interoperability of the systems that support patients and our Healthcare workforce. I am looking forward to hearing Johannes (Johan) Swanepoel present, "FHIR up Clinical Guidelines with platforms for safe AI" at 12.30pm Wednesday 8th May His talk explores why we need hyper-automation in healthcare and then examines an example that demonstrates the art of the possible with practical use cases. These cases aim to alleviate the burden on Healthcare professionals while providing improved patient outcomes. Additionally, Johan will discuss some of the foundational components that Government and industry are putting in place, and why a platform that delivers speed, scale, and trust is required to drive adoption.

From 29-31 May, our team joined the 2024 HIMSS Europe Conference (#HIMSS24Europe) held in Rome, Italy. This conference brought together health professionals, scientists, experts and policymakers, among others, on a thought-provoking discussion on tomorrow’s healthcare. 💡🔬   💬 In a panel discussion on the next steps of the European Health Data Space (#EHDS) legislation, Gozde Susuzlu Briggs (EPF’s Senior Programme Manager) highlighted the benefits of EHDS for patients, healthcare professionals and public health, and stressed the need to ensure inclusive implementation.     💬 Valentina Strammiello (EPF’s Director of Strategic Initiatives) joined a discussion on the role of digital portals for patients.
