Additionally, a child’s mental health is significantly influenced by the dynamics of their parents’ relationships. When parental relationships are strained or fail, children may internalize the conflict, develop trust issues, or struggle with emotional stability. Sharing my journey during Mental Health Awareness Week. As someone recently diagnosed with ADHD and suffering with pretty bad Anxiety, I understand the importance of prioritizing mental health. It's easy to neglect amidst our busy lives, but just as we care for our physical well-being, our mental health deserves equal attention. I've had my struggles, moments where the weight felt unbearable, but seeking help wasn't a sign of weakness; it was a step towards healing. Let's normalize conversations around mental health, break the stigma, and encourage one another to check in, not just physically, but emotionally. You're not alone, and seeking support is a brave choice, not a shameful one. #MentalHealthAwareness #BreakTheStigma #SelfCare

This past week I completed training to become a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor (Adult) through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Mental Health First Aid for Adults teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions. The idea isn't to diagnose people or try to counsel them, but to learn the best ways to direct them to the help they need. I've experienced mental health crises myself and I've helped someone in crisis, so I know first-hand how important this training is and what a difference it can make. #mentalhealth #mhfa #firstaid #mentalhealthcrisis
