You ask me what made me dive into FASHION as a Designer? Some went into Fashion as Models while for some they just want to create,make, sketch/draw or sew. But for me it was none of the above,I've always had passion for fashion.From my funny combination of colors to mixing of different fabrics to make a dress (my siblings would laugh at me),made me realize my passion. The world of Fashion is drawn from a lot of things. The fashion design process begins with inspiration and research. Designers often draw from a variety of sources such as art, history, culture, and current trends. This stage involves extensive research to gather relevant information and develop a clear vision. Designers might study fashion history, explore emerging trends, or delve into specific themes that spark their creativity.Mood boards are commonly used in this phase to visually organize inspiration. These boards can include fabric swatches, color palettes, images, and sketches. I still remember the thrill (and a little frustration!) of nailing the perfect curve for a dress design that once felt impossible. 2️⃣ Grading: Ensuring Every Detail Fits Grading isn’t just about scaling sizes; it’s about maintaining the integrity of the original design across the size range. Complicated styles—think intricate pleats or unique seam placements—test your ability to think ahead, making sure proportions and design elements remain cohesive. One memorable project involved adapting a tailored trench coat across sizes without compromising its sleek, structured silhouette. A challenge, but the results?
