This #quote by thirteenth-century Sufi mystic #Rumi is needed now more than ever before. We appear to have become divided and tribalized in our current culture. It seems that angry and hateful words and acts have become normalized. But civility and kindness can win out if we remember our #goal. Remember, we are here to live in harmony with each other. We must move our thinking and words from hate to love; loud hateful rhetoric does not bring any solution or promote healing, just as thunder does not grow flowers. To get crucial #conversations right, we do not only have to be honest in our opinions, but we also need to have the right "heartitude." If our heart isn't right, our behavior and motives degenerate, and we may use words that we repent later. So it boils down to 1. Honesty 2. Mutual respect 3. politeness 4. Good manners 5. Solution oriented Connect with BIG LADDER and learn to win in every negotiation and conversations #careercoach #communicationcoach #lifecoach #leadershipdevelopment #leaders #conversation

Growing up in a conservative religious environment, I learned to second-guess my instincts. The message was clear: don't trust yourself, your body, your feelings - they'll lead you astray. Then along came an unlikely wisdom teacher: Ted Lasso. Through his disarming humor and authenticity, he offered this gem that is so simple and yet profound: "Just listen to your gut, and on the way down to your gut, check in with your heart. Between those two things, they'll let you know what's what." This resonated deeply. As a leader today, I've learned that true wisdom often lies in balancing rational thought with both emotional intelligence (heart) and instinct (gut). It's not about dismissing one in favor of the other - it's about integration. The best insights often come wrapped in humility and humor. Sometimes it takes a mustachioed football coach to remind us of what we knew all along: trust yourself. #donttakeyourselftooseriously #PersonalGrowth #Leadership #Wisdom #EmotionalIntelligence #AuthenticLeadership

This is for those of us who are task-oriented, Type A, or drivers by nature. “There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” — Proverbs 12:18 (ESV) As a task-oriented person, I tend to focus heavily on getting things done. But as a leader, I must remember that tasks are accomplished through people. So, even though I’m driven by tasks, I have to slow down and focus on the people around me. I know my words can sometimes be sharp, but I don’t want to cut down the people I lead. I want my words to bring healing and strengthen my team, so they’re fully prepared for the task at hand. That’s why I have to SLOW DOWN and use wisdom before I speak—to ensure my words heal rather than harm. 🗡 We can’t keep using our personalities as excuses for hurtful behavior. Enough is enough. Leaders, it’s time to step up and be better. As a believer in business we have to remember that God’s Word applies to our personal lives as well as professional lives. God can move through you in the work you do. Don’t leave God out. Do it God’s way and build a business that will impact this world for the good. #ProverbsDaily #WordsOfWisdom #Leadership #TypeAPersonality #BelieversInBusiness #GodsBusiness s

The words of the one who “failed to meet your standard”. The next time you find yourself disappointed in another, I challenge you to foster dialogue that brings mutual respect and understanding. Within that, do not lose yourself in the humanity that lies within us all. When someone does something that is a trigger within you, it is natural to react. That inward reaction is a subconscious instinct that we have no control over. We do control outward response. Regardless of title or authority, we set examples for those who are witnesses of us; be that of a loved one, coworker, or complete stranger. Will you: - Be an example that acknowledges self participation of creating current state conflict? - Be an example of curiosity and grace? - Be an example of authenticity and transparency? - Make a conscious decision to accept the only assumption you have is that of positive intent? #leader #leadership #development #encourage #inspire #empower

“Birds of a feather will flock together.” -An ancient Proverb What does that really mean though? It’s symbolism for those with similar interests, ideas, and thoughts will congregate together. Like attracts like. As a leader, pay attention to the clues around you when dealing with people. I’ve learned throughout the years that often people will tell me one thing but their actions speak a different language. Fake attracts other individuals who are fake. Compassionate individuals attract others who are compassionate. And the list goes on… “Do not be deceived: "Bad company ruins good morals." -The Holy Bible, Corinthians My advice today: Pay attention to the company you keep. It defines who you are, whether you like it or not. Your character is impacted by those you associate with. It’s your choice who your friends are so choose wisely. They will impact your future and your purpose. “Connect with people who are soaring. You need to disconnect from people who are limiting your potential, and connect with people who can help you reach levels you have never seen. Stay connected to people who are going places, who are on another level, and who make you strive to be better.” -Germany Kent “Be careful of keeping company with people who are always bragging on your accomplishments in public but rarely if ever compliment you or support your endeavors in private.” -Germany Kent #beintentional #leadwell #leadershipmatters #leadershipdevelopment #leadership #leader #lead #courage #grace #influence

“Birds of a feather will flock together.” -English Proverb This idiom references that people will sort themselves into communities of like-minded individuals, whether intentionally or not. It’s true. You don’t have to look far to see it happening around you. It’s comfortable. When I’m in a community of like-minded people we all agree. No growth is happening. Group think abounds. Ego grows. An exclusive mentality dominates. While there may be benefits, the negative consequences of exclusiveness stalls change and growth. Leading from grace requires that I see and hear others…all others. I don’t have to agree with everyone but I must recognize everyone matters. We are uniquely formed. We are important to the One who created all. As a leader, I encourage you to open your heart. Be grace to everyone. Extend kindness. Love everyone, even if it’s from the porch. Don’t confuse healthy boundaries with being exclusive or inclusive. Healthy boundaries in leadership know that I can extend peace while at the same time protecting my peace. Wisdom and knowledge understands this, while ego and pride do not. Today, ask yourself this question: What kind of leader am I? One that understands wisdom and knowledge or one filled with ego and pride? #spaceforgrace #leadershipmatters #leadershipdevelopment #leadwell #leader #lead #wisdom #knowledge

🔥 Confidence isn’t just about showing up, it’s about HOW we show up.🔥 Here’s the catch: If we’re not honest with ourselves, we risk swinging to extremes—either overconfidence or underconfidence. But here’s the interesting part: The word confidence comes from the Latin “con” (with/together) and “fidere” (to trust). Confidence literally means trust in oneself. So what’s standing in the way of trust? Self-deception. We can't fully trust ourselves if we’re living in denial, or telling ourselves stories that aren't true. Facing those lies is the key to authentic confidence. 💡 #SelfTrust #Confidence #Leadership #Authenticity #RadicalHonesty Let’s hear your thoughts—what lies have you caught yourself telling?👇

Madhav, a leader I coached, had a challenging upbringing marked by a harsh, abusive father. The repeated physical and emotional trauma forced him to suppress his anger, a pattern that persisted into adulthood. Today, Madhav navigates a highly competitive work environment. His peers' unfair tactics—the undercutting and political manoeuvres—trigger a deep-seated anxiety. Unable to fully acknowledge or express his anger, he retreats, his confidence waning and resentment growing. It's a painful cycle. Madhav embarked on a journey of self-discovery and emotional healing to reclaim his agency and power. Do you happen to be familiar with the emotions you tend to suppress or avoid? Share in the comments. #Emotions #SelfDiscovery #LeadershipCoaching #Leaders #EmotionalTrauma #EmotionalHealing

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒂𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 "𝑺𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒚"😊 "𝑺𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒚" is a small word, but it means a lot. It's not just about saying we made a mistake; it's about healing, understanding, and growing. A real apology can rebuild trust, fix relationships, and remind us that we’re all human and make mistakes. When we hurt someone, saying "sorry" shows we care and are willing to do better. It's not a weakness; it's a way to grow and understand each other more. Next time you feel you've done wrong, remember: saying "sorry" can make a big difference. #empathy #growth #relationships #communication #leadership
