Donors are more than financial supporters—they're part of our community, united by a shared belief in our mission. When they give to us, they’re offering their trust, their hard-earned pennies, and their hope that we will turn their generosity into meaningful impact. But what happens if we don't acknowledge that? If their gift disappears into a black void of silence? The connection weakens - probably disappears. A genuine, heartfelt 'thank you' changes everything. It's not just good manners—it's transformative. When we thank our donors, we: Reinforce the relationship: They see themselves as part of our community, not just a source of funds. Highlight their impact: They know their support isn’t just noticed but is making a real difference. Encourage future giving: In my experience, I’ve seen thank-yous spark new donations—proof that appreciation goes a long way. About The Panhandle Gives The Panhandle Gives is an annual event hosted and coordinated by the Amarillo Area Foundation (AAF). It begins on the Monday before Thanksgiving and ends on Giving Tuesday, the Global Day of Giving. This year, it will be November 25 - December 3, 2024. That organization keeps one hundred percent of all donations raised by the organizations. In addition, each participating organization that raises at least $250 during the campaign receives a percentage match of the total amount of the Amplification Fund. The Amplification Fund is made up of money given from foundations, corporate sponsors, and individual donors and was established by AAF to AMPLIFY the amount of money participating organizations receive during the campaign.
