Last week, after celebrating another rotation around the sun on my birth anniversary and reflecting on the many intentional conversations I had at SOCAP Global, one concept kept pressing: “𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐝𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞? 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞?” Following the election results, it’s clear that regulatory action on climate will stall, if not regress, with further cuts to critical data that informs our climate models and insights. We are entering a phase of ‘climate blindness,’ a fog of war where, when we finally emerge, we risk realizing we are even more off track. In moments like this, those of us who grasp the broader implications for the planet, our children, and the interconnected systems that sustain us, we must resist retreat and defeatism. Now is the time to strengthen our greatest muscle: urgency. The true measure of our response lies in shortening the distance between ideas and action. This urgency is our remaining path forward—to harness the power of climate capitalism and market mechanics to forge impactful change. This is why we must maximize our efforts now. We need to lean into resilient business models, leverage powerful networks, and amplify climate impact in ways that truly serve local communities, align with shareholder needs, and displace the negative externalities of our extractive practices. We need better alignment in the work of all the brilliant minds in this space. In this spirit, I’m launching Ikigaia.ai —a service that embodies the principles I will be leaning into further: Invest, Initiate, Integrate. 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭: I’ll be expanding the vehicles and opportunities I explore with Cool Climate Collective beyond typical venture, diving into opportunities within franchises and small businesses that stand on the frontlines of climate action (more on this soon, as this has been incubating for a couple months). 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞: Expect the launch of more ecosystem-support initiatives in the near future, building on my involvement to support brilliant operators launch efforts like Climate Patent Collective and Climate on the Edge. 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞: Ikigaia.ai represents the seamless alignment of purpose, action, and results with a sense of urgency. This personal endeavor will support founders, investors, and operators who share a mission-driven, purpose-led approach to their work. I’m selectively opening up a few coaching hours each week, designed for those ready to make an impact. The twist? These engagements will be mostly referral-based, relying on trusted voices from my network to recommend individuals working on the most promising (and challenging-to-execute) problem’s to solve. To those like Susan Su, Peter Sun, Ryan Jones, Brad Johnson 百面包, Miela Mayer, David Hume, Kyle E. Cordova, Daniel Beer, Alexander Flake —your insights and connections are invaluable as I seek to support individuals ready to lead through these uncertain times.
Love this! I can't wait to hear more. Love what you're doing Mehrad.
Excited to see where this new venture goes Mehrad. Love how your outside of the box thinking and optimism keeps you going - it's where we need to head as a field for real market transformation.

3moFor those I trust and respect—who stand at the crossroads of insight and impact—I invite you to share with the brilliant minds you’re encountering. Those whose ideas are more than thoughts, whose work moves from spark to fire. In this alignment of purpose, we find momentum, and together, we build what matters.
