What if you could assume you were wrong about something and know you were going to find out what; to fix it for everyone's advantage? 💪 You can. It's called the UX process, and it changed the way I design. ✅ Errors are part of learning. And allowing for errors, and the time and space for recovery from errors, is how we set up people and teams to succeed. 👉 And guess what? This is exactly what UX research, allows us to do. To root out the wrong, the bad, the assumed and find the opportunities to provide value and delight. From the beginning, versus after it's too costly to make things right. And it's been right in front of you this whole time. 🤔 Assume there is something you can make better, research it, and succeed. Without the stress of being perfect from the start. ------------- UX Research To err without consequence UX research allows teams to quickly learn from what is tested. The UX process embraces failure and sets teams up to deliver solutions that delight. #ux #uxresearch #uxprocess

How can designers create seamless experiences that feel like second nature to users? The answer lies beyond what meets the eye. To build intuitiveness, one must first decode the complex logic of the human mind. At Progressive UX, we uncover these intricate patterns through rigorous research and experimentation. Only by understanding cognitive processes and underlying emotional triggers can interfaces be molded to instincts. This empowers users to achieve goals with minimal friction. Our data-backed, multidisciplinary methods reveal hidden opportunities to elevate usability. By appreciating the subtle yet powerful ways humans think, we're reinventing interactions and making digital transformation a joyful journey. 🌟 Day 01: Uncovering UX Research Methods! 🌟 Hello all! I’m starting a new series where I’ll be sharing different UX research methods twice a week—perfect for anyone wanting to level up their design toolkit! 🙌 Let’s kick things off with a fun and fascinating method: The Wizard of Oz 🧙♂️✨(and no, we’re not heading to Emerald City just yet!). What is the Wizard of Oz method? It’s a technique where users think they’re interacting with a fully functional product, but behind the scenes, someone is manually controlling the responses or actions. It allows designers to test and gather feedback on a feature before actually building it. 🎩💻 Example: 🤖 Imagine testing a voice assistant. Instead of using advanced AI, there’s a person typing and sending responses in real-time while the user thinks it's the app. This lets you gauge user reactions to a feature before investing in development. 💬💻 Pros: 💰 Cost-effective: No need to build a full system for early testing. ⚡ Rapid feedback: Get insights on usability and user behavior quickly. 🛡️ Risk mitigation: Test concepts without expensive technical development. Cons: ⏳ Manual effort: Requires behind-the-scenes work, which can be time-consuming. 📏 Scalability: Not ideal for large-scale testing since it relies on manual input. 🔍 Limited realism: Users might notice something feels off if they explore too deeply. Tip: ✨ Use the Wizard of Oz method when you're in the early stages of design and want to validate ideas quickly without heavy development. It’s perfect for prototyping new features! 🧙♀️ More UX methods coming soon! 🚀 #UXResearch #WizardOfOz #UXDesign #DesignThinking #UserExperience #UserTesting #Prototyping #ProductDesign #DesignProcess #HumanCenteredDesign #UXMethods #DesignTips #Innovation #TechDesign #Day01

UX Research 101 When you ask a question, are you truly listening, or just going through the motions? Whether it’s a loved one or a customer, asking with genuine intent and processing their insights makes all the difference. Do you know you put UX research to use every day? On autopilot, yes you do! When you exchange traditional pleasantries, the next subconscious question that always follows is “How are you?” When you find your loved one sad or disgruntled, you ask, “What is the matter?” The difference? For the first, you might just ask on autopilot, without paying attention. Result: Gathered data, wasted insights. For the second, you ask with intent, because you care even if you can’t fix the problem. Result: Gathered data, processed insights, and a more cheerful loved one. In UX research, the same principle applies. When you gather feedback from customers, are you asking on autopilot, or are you truly listening, processing emotions, and acting on what you learn? Rule of thumb: Next time you gather customer insights—whether through surveys, reviews, or conversations—pay attention to emotions. They often reveal the most valuable truths. #UXResearch #BusinessGrowth #UserExperience #CreativeBusiness

Good vs. Bad CTA: Is your button working for you? 👀 The one on the left? Total confusion. 🤯 It’s cluttered, unclear, and leaves users unsure of what to do next. The one on the right? Simple, bold, and easy to spot – exactly what your users need to take action. 🙌 Key takeaway: A great CTA isn’t just a button – it’s your call to action! Make it clean, clear, and impossible to ignore. 💡 As a self-taught UX/UI designer still learning, I’ve seen firsthand how small changes can make a BIG impact. Let’s grow together by making our designs clear, intentional, and impossible to ignore. 💡 🚀 Want to level up your UX skills too? Let’s learn and share together! 🚀 No Bad News = Good News? 🤔 Let's Talk UX! As UX designers, we often interpret silence as satisfaction. After all, if no one’s complaining, the product must be working just fine—right? But is "no bad news" truly good news in UX? 🧐 In reality, a lack of feedback could signal disengagement rather than delight. Users might not bother to share their struggles, choosing to quietly abandon the product instead. The key challenge is to proactively uncover hidden friction points and opportunities for improvement before they escalate or go unnoticed. So, how do we move beyond "no bad news"? 🔍 Actively seek user feedback. 📈 Dive deep into analytics for behavior patterns. 🛠️ Test, iterate, and validate regularly. ❤️ Build experiences users can’t help but rave about. What’s your take? Do you agree that "no bad news" isn’t always good news in UX? Let’s discuss in the comments below! 💬 #UXDesign #ProductDevelopment #UserExperience #DesignThinking

🧐**Unpacking the User Experience: A Micro-Level Approach** 💭Have you ever found yourself scrambling to accommodate guests in your living room? Most of us have! 💡 This common frustration sparked my latest project. I dove deep into understanding user behavior, mapping out every emotion, thought, and experience in the guest-welcoming journey. Rather than relying on assumptions, I put myself in users' shoes, observing their routines and asking open-ended questions. This empathy-driven approach revealed the subtle challenges they faced. Building prototypes and iterating based on feedback was crucial. The goal was to create a solution that not only worked but integrated seamlessly into their lives. I learned that simplicity is key – users want intuitive tools that require minimal effort. ✍ Key Takeaways: Listen to your users: Their insights are invaluable. Address even the smallest pain points: They can have a significant impact. Iterate, iterate, iterate: Continuously refine your design based on feedback. This project wasn't just about creating a product; it was about enhancing the user experience. By understanding their needs at a micro-level, we can design solutions that truly make a difference. You can also read my casestudy here 📃 https://lnkd.in/gZttEu8S Thank you! 🙏 Your feedback on this is greatly appreciated. I recently came across a fascinating and creative UX research method called "The Break Up Letter. 💔 " It's an eye-opening way to understand why users might decide to leave your product or service. In this method, we ask participants to write a breakup letter to our product or service. We encourage them to express the reasons they "broke up" with us in their own words. This letter-writing exercise allows users to openly share their frustrations and disappointments. After they write the letter, we sit down with them to discuss it. We delve into the specific reasons behind their decision and get a deeper understanding of what went wrong. It's an invaluable process for uncovering pain points and areas for improvement. Have any of you tried this method before? #UXResearch #UserFeedback #DesignThinking

With a very slight delay 😉 🚀 I'm happy to share that I successfully completed the Intensive UX Boost V Course from CreativePeople & Humbleteam. This master class was very hands-on and helped me significantly improve my problem solving skills in UX by working on cases from three large companies and using multifunctional applications for homework. In the process of working on each case, I actively applied methods to search for hypotheses, verify tasks, select concepts, conduct approximate analyses of speed and cost, and determine optimal user flows. Leading design leads also analyzed the same cases and shared their experience, which helped me to check my analysis and learn how to improve it further. #ux #userflow #uxhypotheses #uxanalytics #uxskills

💡 "Insightful Discoveries: Growth Strategies in UX" 🤵 "Bro, what are Growth Strategies in UX?" 👨🎨 "Let me break it down for you. Growth Strategies in UX are about how you can come up with ideas and solutions that positively contribute to Product and Business Metrics. One way to generate those ideas and solutions is by using Magic Brainstorming, where we play around with Psychology Principles. Indirectly, the ideas and solutions you provide will be impactful and meaningful as well as measurable." 🤵 "Can you give me an example, Bro?" 👨🎨 "Sure, for example, if we're aiming for Product Metrics like increasing Customer Retention Rate and Business Metrics like boosting Average Order Value (AOV), we can use Psychology Principles like Scarcity to target Business Metrics and Goal Priming to target Product Metrics." 🤵 "Oh, I see. I'm starting to get it, Bro. Where did you learn this? It's cool that you know this stuff." 👨🎨 "I joined Thinker Academy from The Design Thinker with Expert Mentor Rizki mardita Annur Syahdyanto Adi N., Bro. You should join too, so your Case Studies can be even more impactful and meaningful." 🤵 "Okay, thanks, Bro." #UX #UXDesign #UXDesigner #ProductDesign #ContinuesLearning
