Forest Wild “Broom” White Tea Taste: Wet flora scent,Bamboo flavor,Sweet These “brooms” consist of a variety of white tea leaves bunched together to make it easy to dunk in hot water, just like a teabag,Think of it as a wild. It’s wild: the leaves are harvested from wild tea trees in the forests of Zhenghe,Fujian. In this biodiverse environment, the plants are nourished by richer soils, giving more layers of flavour to the tea. It’s as close to natural as you get: not only do the tea trees grow in an environment with minimal human intervention, the tea itself is minimally processed. After harvesting, the leaves and buds are gently spread out on bamboo mats to wither and slowly dry in the shade for several days before being bunched together and packaged. Each broom has a variety of leaves, with sweet and delicate white buds to mature leaves with deep flavours,so you get a much fuller-flavoured cup of tea. #tealive #tealover #teasupplier #chinesetea #tealife #afternoontea #teataste #teafactory #WhiteTea #YellowTea #BlackTea #GreenTea #PuerhTea #OolongTea #YellowTea #Dancong #Tieguanyin #RipePuerhTea

You often don’t think of your flower garden as a good place to harvest your lunch, but there are a surprising number of tasty edibles growing in many yards, gardens and farms across Canada. Edible flowers come in all shapes and sizes, and sometimes you can eat the leaves, stems, and tubers too. Before consuming any flowers, and parts thereof, be sure you know what you are eating, as some flowers can be poisonous. Make sure the flowers have not had any contact with chemical sprays. For best flavour, pick the flowers at their peak, and use as soon as possible. Pick the flowers in the early morning, when the plants are most filled with water. #edibleflowers #healthbenefitsofflowers https://lnkd.in/gHcYkgni

Some fun facts about pears: 🍐 Unique Ripening Process: Unlike many fruits, pears ripen from the inside out. This is why they often feel firm on the outside but are soft and sweet when bitten into. 🍐 Pears are cousins of apples: Both pears and apples belong to the Rosaceae family, which makes them botanical cousins. They even have similar structures, like the core and seeds. 🍐 Pears float: Pears are less dense than water, which means they can float! Their high water content is one reason why they’re so juicy and refreshing. #Pears #FruitsandVegetables #Fresh #Imports #SouthAfrica #GlobalHarvest #SupplyChain #SaudiArabia

Did you know that bumblebees have a unique ability to taste through their feet? This is another fascinating layer to their sensory capabilities. 🐝👣 When a bumblebee lands on a flower, it uses its specialized taste receptors located on its feet to assess various chemical cues. This helps them determine if the flower contains the right kind of nectar and pollen they seek. While we often think of taste primarily involving the tongue, for bumblebees, it's a sensory expedition. Their feet serve as crucial tools in their quest for the most delicious nectar sources. This contributes to their pollination efficiency, as they can quickly recognize non-attractive flowers and move on to those that need to be pollinated. Autumn splendour is not just for trees! #DYK that produce can change colour along with the trees when temperatures dip and days get shorter? Broccoli may develop a purplish hue, cilantro is tinted reddish-purple, green kale gets lighter, and red kale and rainbow chard become extra vibrant! The reduction in chlorophyll reveals the anthocyanins in plants, which results in these colour changes. Too often mistaken for a quality issue, changes in colour are perfectly natural in this part of the world and don't affect shelf life or taste. In fact, much of this is associated with EXTRA sweetness and flavour. When a lot of what we see on store shelves is imported from places where the weather is generally consistent, it's easy to lose sight of what happens to our local produce when the seasons change. So next time you see some purplish Ontario grown broccoli, don't be afraid - give it a try! Now you know! #Pfennings4Me #TheMoreYouKnow #ReduceFoodWaste #OntarioProduce #LoveOntFood #FarmLife #SustainableAgriculture

I have been so fortunate to work with brassicas in all its shapes and forms since I joined the seed industry, and it is one of the plant families which fascinates me the most. I find it super interesting to produce the seed and bring these healthy and nutritious crops to our partners around the world. People in our industry know where our cabbage or broccoli originates from, but I think it is a healthy reminder for many people outside of the seed industry how our vegetable crops have been created through selection. We take something good from nature and making it better to feed the world. With climate change and an increasing global population is there a lot to do for us in the seed industry. Crops have to be resilient and adaptable, and we have to secure reliable and high-quality seed supply. It all starts with the seeds……. https://lnkd.in/dia6EfJw
Almost everything you eat has been modified by humans. → Brussels sprouts. → Cauliflower. → Cabbage. → Broccoli. → Kohlrabi. → Kale. ↳ Are a human invention. You will never find them in the wild. They are the result of artificial selection. A wild mustard plant (Brassica oleracea) was the original source of the diverse forms of Brassica that we are familiar with today. Thank breeders, scientists and farmers for making our food:- → Productive. → Affordable. → Accessible. → Nutritious. → Healthy. →Tasty.

🌄Our raspberries have thrived in the unique conditions of the Cayambe region in the Ecuadorian highlands. Located among the closest points to the sun, the Andes experience intense sunlight due to the thinner atmosphere, enhancing photosynthesis and boosting the development of sugars and pigments, which significantly affect flavor and color. This abundant sunlight allows raspberry plants to produce higher levels of natural sugars, resulting in an exceptionally sweet flavor profile that lingers on the palate. 🌱 🌬️ At the same time, cold, windy nights increase acidity, balancing that sweetness and resulting in a vibrant, refreshing taste. This dynamic environment with exposure to intense UV rays promotes the development of aromatic compounds, adding floral and fruity undertones to the raspberries. 🏔 Grown in nutrient-rich volcanic soil, Cayambe raspberries showcase concentrated sweetness and distinct mineral notes, all while benefiting from a diverse microclimate and abundant freshwater. Experience the exceptional flavor and quality that set our raspberries apart! #Andes #Raspberries #FlavorProfile #SustainableFarming
