Character of the leader – over one thousand international leaders signed up for the seminar about the character of the leader, I presume not because we want to celebrate and congratulate ourselves how great we are all doing in this area but because a lot of us realise the ongoing need to raise up leaders with strong core values and godly character. At the last minute we were merged with another workshop - the NextGen. What a great ‘coincidence’ that worked out to be meaningful and impactful, for sadly young leaders are lost because of the bad leadership of previous generations. We need to be in the same room to see the damage and to envision the possibility. 1. The young people are looking for mentors and models, often they cannot find leaders with the commitment to continuous integrity across the whole lifespan, or those willing to give time to raising the future generations. 2. We tolerate bad leadership for too long, there is not enough of correction of damaging behaviour such as the widespread narcissistic abuse of power and position, not early enough, often damage has been done already. 3. We need to commit to the lifelong emphasis on personal renewal and growth in maturity while being consistent in making the right choices. It needs to shows itself in practice in all areas of our lives. How can we go about bringing change and spotlighting the issues of the importance of character of the leader? This week in the atempt to do it we got over a thousand people in the room and ask them to work together across cultures and generations over a period of 4 days and dive deeper into imaging the solutions. I loved being able to serve as a content coordinator for this area, looking forward to what the end of the week will bring in terms of creative approaches. As I walk among the tables, I am blessed by energy and wisdom they all generate, there is a better way... let's find it together.

✨ ✨ The Catalyst of Leadership ✨ ✨ Bridging Chemistry and Organizational Success.... As someone passionate about Chemistry, it came to my mind that I find parallels between chemical concepts and leadership principles. One such concept is Chemical Catalyst. In Chemistry, A Catalyst is a substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without itself undergoing any permanent chemical change, in another word without being consumed in the process. Similarly, a great leader acts as a catalyst within a team or organization, driving progress and facilitating growth without taking the spotlight. Be a Leader, Act like a catalyst: · Empower your team by encouraging independence and creativity, giving your team the freedom to innovate and solve problems. · Create an environment where open communication is valued, enabling ideas to flow freely and collaboratively. · Recognize and celebrate success acknowledging the contributions of your team members, boosting morale and motivating continued excellence. · Lead by example by demonstrating the values and work ethic you wish to see in your team, inspiring them through your actions. I find that excellence in leadership is achieved by continuously developing yourself. Always strive to be an inspiring and creative leader with excellent knowledge and skills, unique in your ideas. Remember, leadership does not mean you stop growing, it means you continuously evolve and adapt to inspire and lead effectively giving space for others to lead. Just as catalysts are essential in driving chemical reactions, leaders are crucial in driving organizational success. By embracing the role of a catalyst, we can inspire, empower, and transform our teams, leading to a more dynamic and productive environment. #leadership #ImpactWA Here are a few ways in which catalysts and leadership are similar:

How to be a better leader? Reflecting on this excellent piece by Chip Conley - a leader doesn't try to be the smartest guy in the room. We can already access all the accumulated knowledge of generations on our phones. It's more useful to be a wise leader who can: - See the whole instead of the parts and cultivate that skill in your team - Build a culture of safety and trust so people feel empowered to take on new challenges and put themselves forward - Be comfortable being the learner, always curious, asking questions. But also be the one who can transform those learnings into insight and purposeful action. That is rare and powerful alchemy. #leader https://lnkd.in/gvjJN9_u
