Do you still feel the festive Joy as an adult? As kids, the festive season was the most exciting time of the year. This was because some things only happened during the festive season that you could look forward to. Eating foods like chapatis and getting a Christmas outfit were the main traditions that we could anticipate. I don't know about you but I used to save some money specifically to spend on Christmas day. Those small yet magical moments gave us something to look forward to. Here is a thought: Why should that joy be only for the festive season? Celebrate your wins, big and small. Hitting a milestone in work or life like reaching 500 followers or completing a challenging project deserves celebration. • Treat yourself to a nice meal. • Buy yourself something special These simple rituals not only bring you happiness but also motivate you to keep pushing forward. Make it a habit to create your own ''Joy days" Speaking of Celebrations Sharon Muyoka and Caroline Kamau will be hosting their Virtual-End-Year meeting. Feel free to contact them if you want to be part of it. Happy social Saturday to you. Let's embrace celebrating our progress, and setting the tone for more intentional joy in the year ahead. 💚 P.S. Day 17 of my fabulous Christmas Jumpers🎄✨ Today I'm wrapped up in this delightfully soft pink number, adorned with sparkly gift bows - because sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves is a little kindness! Speaking of gifts, let's unwrap something special: self-compassion. Just like this cosy jumper gives me a warm hug, being gentle with ourselves can feel like wrapping our minds in comfort and understanding. Remember, you wouldn't scold a friend for taking a breather during Christmas shopping, or criticise them for buying ready-made mince pies - so why not extend that same kindness to yourself? Think of self-compassion as your personal Christmas present - no queuing required, and it's always the perfect fit! Whether it's saying no to that extra commitment, having a duvet day with your favourite festive film, or simply acknowledging that you're doing your best - you deserve that kindness. What's your favourite way to show yourself some compassion during the festive season? Share your self-care moments below! 👇 #MentalHealthMatters #ChristmasJumperChallenge #SelfCompassion #WellbeingWinter #MHIB #mentalhealthinbusiness

Ever noticed how real growth kicks in when you step out of your comfort zone? 🌟 This holiday season, I decided to try something new—I joined a dance class to prepare for a Christmas party performance. Now, let me tell you, dancing in front of people was never my thing. But the idea of celebrating the festive spirit in a fun, unique way pushed me to give it a shot. The first few sessions? Total chaos. 🎄 While others were gliding like pros, I was tripping over imaginary candy canes. I even thought about giving up, thinking, Maybe I’m just not meant to dance. But something about the festive cheer—maybe it was the Christmas music or the warm encouragement from others—kept me going. Slowly but surely, I started getting the moves, laughing at my missteps, and feeling more confident. By the time the party arrived, I wasn’t just dancing; I was having the time of my life! 🎅✨ This little adventure reminded me that growth is the best gift we can give ourselves. You don’t need to be perfect to start—you just need to show up and enjoy the process. 🚀 So, as we wrap up this year, what’s one thing you’ve done (or want to try) that takes you out of your comfort zone? Let’s share, celebrate, and inspire each other this festive season! 🎁" #GrowthJourney #ChristmasVibes #HolidayCheer #SteppingOutOfComfortZone #PersonalDevelopment #FestiveSeason #NewExperiences #CelebrateGrowth

𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫-𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 Christmas songs are playing, decorations are popping up everywhere, and there’s a constant reminder: the holidays are basically here! That also means it’s time to start checking off those gift lists… or at least getting mentally prepared for the rush. At work too, it’s a similar story: that year-end timescale has been comfortably on the horizon for so long, and now it’s suddenly right there, waving at us with the urgency of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas.” What always gets me is how finishing something in the first week of January technically isn’t much later than the last week before Christmas—but it feels completely different. December has this unique ability to make everything feel like it absolutely has to be wrapped up before the festive break. I’ll admit, there’s part of me that wouldn’t mind squeezing in just one more week! But where would be the fun in that? After all, just like Christmas shopping, a little bit of pressure and a whole lot of planning (and maybe some coffee) make those end-of-year wins all the more satisfying. Are there milestones you’re hoping to hit by the time the festive break comes around? #EndOfYear #Deadlines #FestiveSeason #WorkLifeBalance #YearEndGoals #ChristmasCountdown

🎄 Stay Connected as a Couple This Christmas 🎄 The festive season is full of joy, but it can also be a busy and stressful time, making it easy to lose sight of your relationship. This year, focus on staying close with these gentle tips: 1️⃣ Make Time for Each Other With so much going on, it’s important to set aside moments just for the two of you. Whether it’s wrapping presents, decorating, or enjoying a quiet walk, these shared moments can help you feel more connected. 2️⃣ Talk Openly The Christmas break can bring up a mix of emotions. Take time to share how you’re feeling, listen to each other, and work together to manage any stress. Clear, honest communication can strengthen your bond. 3️⃣ Set Family Boundaries Spending time with family is wonderful, but it’s okay to set limits. Decide together how you’ll balance family visits and what works best for both of you. 4️⃣ Let Go of Perfection Your Christmas doesn’t have to be picture-perfect. Focus on enjoying time with each other, and if things don’t go as planned, try to laugh it off. The little imperfections often make the best memories. This Christmas, let your relationship take center stage – it’s the most meaningful gift you can share. #xmasTogetherness #CoupleTime #SimpleJoy Medi8 Therapy

Day 11 of my Christmas Jumper Extravaganza! 🎄 I am sporting my festive feline friend today - looking as chilled and content as we all deserve to be this season! Let's have a cosy chat about expectations, shall we? Like this laid-back kitty on my jumper, sometimes the best approach to Christmas is keeping things wonderfully simple. There is no need for every moment to be picture-perfect or every mince pie to be homemade! The most magical moments often happen when we take the pressure off and embrace the perfectly imperfect nature of the season. Maybe the turkey's a bit dry, or the fairy lights won't untangle - but these often become the stories we laugh about later! Remember: your Christmas doesn't need to look like anyone else's to be special. Sometimes the best gift we can give ourselves is permission to do things our own way. What's one expectation you're letting go of this festive season? Pop it in the comments below! 👇 #MentalHealthMatters #ChristmasJumperChallenge #RealityCheck #WellbeingWinter #MHIB

Day 24 of my Christmas Jumper Extravaganza - Christmas Eve! The big man will be coming soon! 🎅🏼🎄 I’m raising my game today - with my Santa dress and festive tights! Today it’s worth reminding ourselves that we don’t always know what others might be struggling with at this time. Behind every twinkling light and festive smile, there's a unique story. Some hearts are full of joy, while others might be carrying hidden challenges. We never truly know what's happening beneath someone else's festive facade. If you're finding it hard to match the sparkle around you, please know that's perfectly okay. And if you're feeling merry and bright, perhaps share some of that light with others - a simple text, a gentle check-in, or a warm smile could make someone's day brighter. Remember: Christmas comes in all shapes and sizes, and there's no 'right' way to feel during the festive season. Share a message of hope or support below - your words might be exactly what someone needs to read today 🌟 #MentalHealthMatters #ChristmasJumperChallenge #KindnessMatters #MHIB #mentalhealthawareness
