In recent days, I have been exploring the emerging consumer landscape in Changsha, a city in central China. Data reveals that over the past two years since Covid, Changsha has gradually emerged as a favored destination for China's younger generation—a place to wine, dine, and meet friends during weekends and holidays.
Upon landing in Changsha, I am greeted by the airport's fragrant ambiance, reminiscent of the natural scents typically found in five-star hotels. Venturing into the city center, the long-missed vibrancy of everyday life hits me, punctuated by the unexpected crackle of fireworks bursting into the sky.
The city is not overly polished, but it feels just right—comfortable and inviting to both acquaintances and strangers alike. Affordable hotel and dining prices, coupled with service that exceeds expectations and the distinctive spicy flavors of Hunan cuisine, make for an unforgettable experience. People leisurely amuse themselves, passing the time in contentment.
I am particularly fond of the eclectic shop signs lining the streets, twinkling like eyes, heralding the dawn. This is a city where traffic jams persist until 11 or 12 at night. Perhaps, stubbornly clinging to their own little joys and living quietly in this manner is the most fitting way of life for the people here, far away from anywhere else.

2moI accidentally canceled my booking via your app and the hotel refuse to reinstate it. I called the hotel immediately after the cancellation. The rooms are still available and the price is not change, I paid the full amount already. Why can not reinstate my booking? I booked this hotel to celebrate Christmas with my family. I know you have the right to do so cause it’s a non refund rate and it is written in your sales condition. But where is the humanity in your corporate culture? Is the refusal to accommodate my request an intentional way of profiting from guests' misoperation? Do I have to lose €350 because I pressed the wrong button? You took our money but don’t provide any products or services! That is rubber, rubber from your loyal members👍 You advertise in the media about being hospitable, putting your members satisfaction first, and how joining your membership program is like being part of a warm family. Yet, in reality, you show no consideration for your members and seem only focused on profiting from them. In this situation, I have felt no kindness or humanity, only cold indifference and greed!
