As 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐃𝐚𝐲 approaches, we are reminded of the profound impact hospitality has beyond business. It prompts us, as industry leaders, to ask ourselves: 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯? 𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺, 𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦? At AccorInvest, we believe hospitality is more than just a service. It's about creating genuine human connections with everyone we touch: our guests, our employees, and the communities around us. As Franck Bermond eloquently puts it, “We invest in people before we invest in buildings.” 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨. Our commitment to positive hospitality is reflected in our diverse and inclusive workforce. From engineers to chefs, financiers to housekeepers, we value the talents of people from all walks of life. With more nationalities represented at our headquarters than in the countries where we operate, our diversity is not just a reflection of who we are. It’s our strength. Positive hospitality also means opening doors for those who have been excluded from the labor market. Through localized employment programs, including the recruitment of former prisoners, we strive to create lasting and meaningful opportunities for everyone. For us, hotels are not just destinations; they are catalysts for positive change, shaping both our employees’ futures and the communities we serve. Every guest experience, every community initiative, and every act of service represents a step toward making a lasting impact. As we celebrate World Tourism Day, let’s embrace a hospitality that goes beyond expectations. One that genuinely transforms lives through care and empathy. This is what #PositiveHospitality means to us! #WorldTourismDay #WorldTourismDay24 #HospitalityIndustry #AccorInvest #DiversityAndInclusion #TourismForGood

The Importance of Universal Access in Hospitality As professionals in the hospitality industry, we understand the importance of creating memorable experiences for our guests. Yet, sometimes we overlook a crucial aspect: accessibility. In this post, we delve into the significance of universal access within our industry and why it should be a priority for every hospitality business. Ensuring accessibility for all guests, regardless of ability, is not just about meeting legal requirements—it's about fostering inclusivity and creating environments where everyone feels valued and welcome. By adhering to accessibility standards, we not only enhance guest experiences but also contribute to social equity and inclusivity. Imagine a guest arriving at our hotel, excited to explore a new city, only to find that they cannot access certain areas due to physical barriers. This not only detracts from their experience but also sends a message that they are not valued. On the other hand, when we prioritize universal access, we send a powerful message of inclusivity and respect for diversity. Moreover, universal access benefits everyone, not just individuals with disabilities. Families with strollers, elderly guests, and those recovering from injuries all benefit from accessible facilities and services. By creating environments that cater to diverse needs, we elevate the guest experience and set ourselves apart as leaders in inclusive hospitality. In conclusion, universal access is not just a legal obligation—it's a moral imperative and a strategic advantage for hospitality businesses. By embracing accessibility standards, we not only enhance guest experiences but also foster social equity and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable tourism industry. Let's make universal access a cornerstone of our hospitality ethos and create welcoming environments that truly embrace diversity. In recent years, the average employee tenure at companies has decreased, making it more common for professionals to explore various companies rather than staying with one for over 20 years. Additionally, the hospitality sector is facing a global shortage of staff, impacting hotels worldwide. We view this situation as an opportunity for collaboration and growth. It's a chance to support the development of our team members by giving them the freedom to learn and expand their horizons. While we cannot keep someone forever, we can give them the wings to fly and ensure their time at The Florian Hotel is as enriching as possible. We strive to make them feel valued, supported and aligned with our values, and they always have the option to stay with us or to return after a few years, bringing back a valuable experience, new knowledge and renewed excitement. We spend a significant part of our lives working, so work should be an adventure to enjoy and a place where you can feel yourself, feel valued, and have your opinions heard. This is the most important aspect of our hotel: the TEAM. 💪 In the hospitality industry, employees are at the heart of everything. If they are happy and feel fulfilled, it increases the chance that our guests will be too, leading to greater loyalty, more business, and ultimately satisfied owners or shareholders due to improved profits, positive reviews, and strong market positioning. #CompanyCulture #TheFlorianHotel #EmployeeExperiences #Hospitality

Cultural diversity in hospitality plays a vital role in the global industry today. As travel and tourism expand across borders, hotels, restaurants, and other service providers are catering to a broader array of guests from different cultures. This diversity brings opportunities for enriched customer experiences, as guests seek authentic and personalized services that respect their cultural backgrounds. To thrive, hospitality businesses must embrace inclusivity by training staff in cultural competence, offering diverse menus, and respecting religious and cultural practices. Multilingual staff, culturally relevant amenities, and tailored guest experiences can boost customer satisfaction. However, navigating cultural diversity also presents challenges, such as potential misunderstandings and different expectations regarding service standards. Hospitality leaders must stay adaptable, creating environments where both employees and guests feel valued and understood, ultimately strengthening the global hospitality landscape.#cultural #hospitality #Diversity
