Hong Kong is committed to achieving carbon neutrality before 2050 by focusing on three critical areas: electricity generation, transport, and waste management. With electricity generation accounting for 66% of our carbon emissions, transitioning to zero-carbon energy is crucial. car Electrifying our transport sector and breaking away from landfilling for waste disposal are also key steps. Buildings consume about 90% of our electricity, so improving energy efficiency is a top priority. By adopting mature, cost-effective technologies, we aim to reduce carbon emissions by half before 2035. 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐌® 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐬 is here to support these strategies by providing solutions for zero-carbon energy and enhancing energy efficiency. #HK2050 #decarbonisation
