In 2004, the World Health Organization published a Global Strategy for #SRHR to ensure that the promises of the first #ICPD could become a reality. WHO researchers worked with Member States, civil society and communities across all regions to operationalize a Global Strategy to cover the five key pillars for improving SRHR: -Improving antenatal, perinatal, postpartum and newborn care; -Providing family planning services; -Eliminating unsafe abortion; -Combatting sexually transmitted infections (STIs); and -Promoting sexual health. Since then, the Strategy has influenced SRHR policies and guiding documents in several regions and Member States and led to much progress — but recent years have seen signs of stagnation. Reflecting on the Strategy 20 years later reveals much to celebrate & also emerging opportunities. Lets talk about Sexual Reproductive Health Awareness in schools, what are we afraid of? why are we denying these children an opportunity to understand how their bodies work and make informed decisions? Why are we allowing social media to be their teacher and allow its brutality to exhaust them? Why are we allowing misinformation regarding this when we can pass right information? I real do not understand what we are scared of, these children are curious and in the act of their curiosity end up being taken advantage of because they do not have right information. Lets act now and make Reproductive awareness and information a possibility for children.

👩🏾🌍💪🏾Empowering young #women is essential for building a healthier future. Many girls face challenges related to sexual reproductive health (#SRH), from stigma and misinformation to a lack of access to essential resources. 🗣️ To overcome these obstacles, we need to prioritize education and open conversations about sexual health. By equipping young women with accurate #information about condom use and reproductive health, we can foster #confidence and self-efficacy. 🚀 It is crucial to create safe-spaces where girls can share their experiences, ask questions, and challenge the #myths that often hinder their ability to make informed choices. When we empower girls with the knowledge and tools they need, we not only help them take charge of their #health but also inspire them to become advocates for change in their communities. 🤝 Let’s work together to support our #youth, ensuring they have the resources to achieve their dreams and reduce the risks of #HIV, STIs, and unintended pregnancies. A strong, informed generation of girls will lead us toward a brighter, healthier future for all.
