Hot take: panels at conferences are not good because both the questions and answers are improvised and are necessarily surface level, as opposed to the more traditional talks where the speaker has prepared for months or years about the specific topic they're presenting on.

You can get a persons honest ‘hot take’ on an issue in a panel just like here 😁. Not every talk has to be deep.

Hot take rebuttal. Are the questions at traditional talks at a deeper level though? Secondly, do you really think the speakers have prepared for months or years? I would beg to differ
