This approach does not provide valuable information about the competition, and I believe that most startups are squandering an excellent opportunity to provide data-driven insights into how they are superior to the competition. The competitor matrix slide should tell the reader how the startup outperforms the competitor in a variety of areas (pricing, technology, etc.) and be able to quantify how much better they are. For example, Frog is 90% less expensive than Rolex. This slide should also be able to capture and demonstrate how much the competitors are valued, including their MRR or ARR, in order to give the readers an idea of what winning might look like.

As a marketer, the only issue I see here is narrative (lack of) ;-) - Frog watch holds time to an accuracy of +- 15s per month, almost indistinguishable from the+-10s with the Rolex - Fraction of the price, same value as a time keeper - A watch with personality for a new generation of horology enthusiasts (TAM tbc)
