With esports viewership continually rising, it’s good to take a step back and see what are the most popular esports titles by peak viewership. Here are the top five esports titles by peak viewership, courtesy of Iarfhlaith Dempsey of Esports Charts & Streams Charts: ➔ Counter-Strike 2 - 2.75 million (PGL Major Stockholm 2021) ➔ PUBG Mobile - 3.80 million (PUBG Mobile Global Championship Season 0) ➔ ML:BB - 5.06 million (M5 World Championship) ➔ Free Fire – 5.45 million (Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore) ➔ League of Legends - 6.94 million (2024 World Championship) Dota 2 was a close sixth place behind Counter-Strike 2 with 2.74 million viewers of TI10. All in all, mobile esports in Asia and Latin American continues to provide huge viewership numbers given its accessibility across a wide variety of audiences & demographics. Stats like these were eye-opening when I first joined ONE Esports in 2019 and began spending a lot of time in Singapore. With my western console gaming bias, I had under counted mobile title's power and influence in esports. Now, it's a given that mobile has the biggest global power due to - as noted - demos and accessibility. Also, the power of the handheld devices themselves are better. When talking to VC, the hard work of CAC and monetization and hit ratio still colors the enthusiasm. Despite that, I am still bullish. And it's part of why I believe in the 13th Bridge Games Studio mission - the raise the bar for fun in mobile sports games. #gaming #mobile #esports
