Designing for the #Metaverse presents unique challenges, particularly when optimizing immersive environments. In our previous version of our qualitative "immersive market research lab", we had overlapping polygons (highlighted in red), which are overlapping elements that consume unnecessary computing power. Despite not being visible, these overlapping polygons take up computational resources, potentially causing streaming performance issues. So we tidied this up and have a new optimized version for research. By optimizing the environment, we improved streaming efficiency, reducing the computational load and enhancing the respondent experience. Thoughtful design and careful optimization are essential to creating seamless, efficient, and user-friendly metaverse experiences. We are still years away from having seamless metaverse capabilities (parallel digital universes that real time in nature), because only a very small section of the planet has access to internet and hardware it requires) but I am noticing lots of brands playing - especially with Roblox. #MarketResearch #MetaverseDesign #immersivequalitative

In 2021, we heard a lot of talk about "The Metaverse." What was once a niche sci-fi term coined by Neal Stephenson in his 1992 novel Snow Crash was now a tech buzz word, largely thanks to Facebook's rebrand as Meta. Everyone seemed to be talking about the Metaverse, and everyone seemed to have slightly different definitions of what it actually was. The rapid onset of an explorable virtual world with blockchain-enabled real estate has not been the tidal wave many envisioned and hoped that it would be. One critical problem has been the lack of content. A key factor in the success of platforms like Youtube, TikTok, and Instagram has been the ease with which users can generate and share content, creating a virtual economy for photo and video sharing. The Metaverse, defined as an immersive shared 3D space, doesn't have that accessibility yet. Enter Glinda AIMI. Visualsyn's aim in developing Glinda AIMI is to do for 3D virtual content what Youtube did for video-- make it accessible for everyone and provide a platform to share it. Glinda is a platform anyone can use, to create whatever they need. We absolutely can't wait to release it into people's hands to see what they can dream up.
