Milbotix’s Post

2024 has been quite a year for Milbotix, although not without its challenges!    We've continued to receive some amazing support, both here in the UK and from further afield.    There are far too many people to thank everyone here individually (we know, we've made a list).    That said, we'd particularly like to say thank you to our hard working team for all the hours they have put in this year.    We'd also like to thank Alzheimer's SocietyUniversity of the West of England and Innovate UK for their continued support.    Thanks also to Shlomi Haar at Imperial College London for his support of SmartSocks® and for Byron Creese at Brunel University of London for taking SmartSocks® to the Alzheimer's Association®’s International Conference (AAIC) in Philadelphia this Summer, to mention just two of our many research partners.     We'd also like to welcome John Mathers of the British Design Fund for joining us as Chair, and Dr Kumi Pillay who has joined us as Chief Medical Officer.    Thank you to all those who invited us to speak and share our work with you, and finally, thank you to our investors, both long-standing and new, whose support is so critical to our mission.    2025 looks set to be an action packed year as SmartSocks® complete their final external certification.    If all goes to plan, we will be delivering our first SmartSocks®DISCOVERY kits to researchers in February, and commencing pilots of SmartSocks®COMFORT in care homes.     We look forward to piloting with Aria Care, Iris Care Group and other organisations.   In the meantime, all of us at Milbotix would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
