With a population of 1.3 million and nearly as many cars - 1.2 million - Prague has long been on our radar for expansion. 🚗 It has been just two weeks since Bolt launched with 400 cars in the capital of the Czech Republic, and the first customer feedback suggests that Prague has much potential for car-sharing. EXCITING NEWS🎉🌟 We are happy to announce that we have won the tender to replace the parking equipment for 5 (with possibly 6 additional) garages for the Municipality of Breda, NL. Together with our partners, we will roll out our fully ticketless parking system within a total solution for manager and parker from the end of 2024. With our solution, the municipality of Breda has a wide range of possibilities to shape and implement its own mobility policy and vision. The core components of the new installation include: -     entervo.signs 55’: for providing information and welcoming parkers; -     entervo smart web pay: enables visitors to pay online; -     entervo smart validation: easy online discounting; -     entervo smart go: the automatic solution for frequent visitors; -     entervo smart contract: online processing of parking subscriptions. Over the next few months, the Scheidt & Bachmann Benelux team will focus on preparing for the installation to ensure that everything is ready for the planned launch. I still vividly remember how about two years ago, we started the journey of our new scaling strategy to offer MOIA's years of experience from our ridepooling service to further cities via our new licensing strategy. It is great to see how MoUs coming in (in this case Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG)) confirm that we are on a good track with this strategy - proof points are the fuel for any strategizing 😉. Berlin aims to broaden its public transportation system beyond the usual expansion of subway routes and bus services. To attract more individuals towards sustainable mobility, the solution must present a viable substitute to private vehicle usage - this is where our visions align perfectly. Riddle: What only work, when they don’t work? …… Traffic lights in the center of Helsingin kaupunki – Helsingfors stad – City of Helsinki apparently. Look how happily trams, cars, bikes and pedestrians move around without constantly being told what to do. Renews my faith in the reasonable nature of the vast majority. If you look closely, cars don’t speed up to drive over the crossings, as they do if the lights work. I’m sure traffic lights have there place, but it’s not in a walkable urban centre. #trafficlights

👉🏻 We would like to bring to your attention an interesting article that examines the factors that affect carsharing demand. Data were collected from one of the two major carsharing operators in Seoul, Korea. It can be predicted that the area with more registered cars and less subway entrances will show higher carsharing demand.
