Info

Welcome, Kathrin! Kathrin Karola Viergutz, our new Head of Research, joins us from the DLR Institut für Verkehrssystemtechnik and will bring her expertise as a mobility researcher to our team. There is a growing need for research in the field of free-floating car sharing – especially as the market grew a lot in the past years. We are therefore collaborating with research partners and providers to address key questions in mobility research. Stay tuned for more insights!

When more than 150 brands are honored – how amazing is the Goodie Bag? 😄 Studio ZX | ZEIT Verlagsgruppe has published the latest edition of “Marken des Jahrhunderts”. This year’s theme: #Transformation. It’s all about brands redefining their business models and products to meet the demands of a changing world. For the first time, "Future Brands" are included – meaning companies that have successfully established themselves in recent years and are driven by purpose and meaning. We're honored that MILES is one of these 20 Future Brands and that we were able to have been part of this wonderfully organized evening at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin. 🙏 ✨ --- 📸 Photo by: Phil Dera Deutsche Standards | Fabian Westkamp

You spoke, we listened. 🖤 Many of you shared that the MILES Passes (our monthly loyalty feature) felt too complex, with benefits like the airport drop-off fee only being used irregularly. The question often arose: "Do they fit my user behavior or not?" With over 1 million active users, we know we can’t meet every single preference. However, we’ve worked hard to create an option that is now much more attractive for many of you. Here’s what’s new: ✅ A simpler structure of benefits that’s easier to understand ✅ Two additional pass options to ensure (almost) everyone finds the perfect fit – whether you’re an occasional user, a heavy user, or somewhere in between Check out the new conditions via the link in the comment.

L is an important letter! 🤔 Carsharing isn’t here to compete with public transport – it’s here to complete it. The Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG video sums it up: A balanced mix of different mobility options creates the flexibility we all need. And it’s not just Stuttgart – cities across Germany are making it easier than ever to combine your trips. Apps like Jelbi (Berlin), and hvv switch (Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (hvv)), #MVGO (Munich), #redy (Düsseldorf), bring all the local options into one place.

This week has been quite a ride. It’s not every day that we see so many stories highlighting what we do and who we are. 👉 👈 --- A 17-minute documentary on Galileo offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at MILES. ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE (Link below) Don Dahlmann’s column in Gründerszene dives into the free-floating carsharing market and positively highlights MILES. Augustin Friedel 🚲 🛴 🛵 🚘 names us as a category leader in his latest overview. Bremer Tageszeitungen AG (WESER-KURIER) tested MILES in Hamburg and shared its first-hand experiences. ---

This year, we took the time to revise our company values – and by chance, we came up with the acronym: PORCSE It is proving to be a good memory bridge (mnemonic). 😄 Now, it’s about living them in our day-to-day business. For example, we have integrated them into our All Hands meetings, where we celebrate achievements on the basis of the values. Curious to hear further measurements from other companies...👀 --- PORCSE stands for: Passion - Ownership - Resourceful - Curiosity - Support - Empathy

One of our colleagues shared this sweet snapshot – his son insisted on having MILES cars for his play carpet! 🚗 Imagine growing up with the concept of sharing cars from a young age... After all, sharing is already part of our everyday lives (public spaces, streaming accounts, toys, public transport...). So why shouldn’t cars be part of this shared world? 🤝 🌍

GOLD for Sustainability 🏆 We have been publishing a Sustainability Report for three years, and our 2022 edition has now won Gold at the Best of Content Marketing Award. 👉👈 Thank you, MADSACK Mediengruppe, for making this happen with us. About: The bcm Award recognizes content work across the German-speaking world, celebrating projects that don’t just look great but also create real impact. And speaking of awards: We've also reached the final round of the Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis in the category mobility services alongside Hamburger Hochbahn AG and Freiburger Verkehrs AG. The results will be announced at the end of November. 👀🤞
